Kanezawa Toge

Kanezawa Pass A hiking course on the side of the Kita-Shiobara village, which is a paved road that runs from Kumakura-machi, Kitakata City to the Oguni Swamp. There is an observatory with a panoramic view of the Oguni Swamp. If the weather is nice, you can see the ridges of Mt. Bandai and Mt. Nekoma from the observatory. There are vehicle restrictions from early June to mid-July when the Oguni-numa marshland is colored with alpine plants, and a shuttle bus (charged) runs from Oguni Hagidaira, Kumakura Town to Kanazawa Pass. It takes about 10 minutes from the Kanezawa Pass to reach the Oguni Swamp. Shuttle buses will not operate in 2020 to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus.
