Anza-Borrego Desert State Park

The largest state park in California is home to amazing flowers and plants which bloom in the early spring.

This is a wonderful campground nestled next to the mountains with a half mile trail to the visitor center and a 3 mile round trip trail up the canyon on the Borrego Palm Canyon trail to the water falls and Bighorn Sheep! This desert really grows on you with fauna and flora all around and scheduled naturalist walks and talks. Jackrabbits, roadrunners and Bighorn sheep if you can find them. This is a great back to nature experience. If you go in February or March after a good season of precipitation you may see the super bloom of desert flowers. A sight to behold!

Came in from the backside from Indio, submitted request to have address used with GPS location cross checked by Google. This allows you to come in at the top of Borrego Springs and the see a lot of the metal figures. Some have been moved out of the gated community into another area. The Borrego Springs chamber is open and has a map that helps. Nice friendly people. Bathrooms are located at this stop and were found to be clean. Worth seeing to understand the history of this person. Read citations to understand why rocks are necessary
