Anglesey Circuit - Trac Mon

Set on the west coast of Anglesey, overlooking the Irish Sea and the Snowdonia mountain range beyond, Anglesey Circuit provides visitors with a challenging and exciting circuit in a breathtaking location.Whether you are visiting the Circuit as a competitor, spectator, for driving instruction or as part of a corporate activity day, you are assured of a day to remember. It is one of the few circuits to be designed and constructed with an entirely new concept. We have taken full advantage of the undulating landscape and created a circuit with imaginative cambers, a blend of fast sections, technically challenging mid range corners complemented with two hairpin bends and a 10% banked corner. The alternative circuit configurations enable Anglesey Circuit to offer the ideal facility for the wide variety of events that we are currently hosting. The new pit lane complex is the perfect facility to complement this superb race track. With its remarkably smooth surface and a minimum width of 12 metres, the circuit is an outstanding venue for amateurs and professionals alike. Spectators can enjoy exciting racing with overtaking opportunities that other circuits are unable to offer from a variety of vantage points, including the elevated position above the Corkscrew and at Peel and Rocket. The recently developed area from The Banking, through Church and beyond makes viewing possible from virtually the entire circuit perimeter. Whether your preference is for two or four wheels, Anglesey Circuit will have something to offer.

Having break in Angelsey and looked for something to entertain our 2 year old grandson. Found reviews of Foel Farm on tripadvisor and thought we would give it a go. It was a great decision the Farm was stocked with well cared for animals, we could feed them and especially enjoyed the rabbit barn. Tractor and quad trailer rides were also excellent. The staff were great and the CoVid regs were very well implemented. There were loads of wash stations with low level sinks for toddlers. If it wasn’t 3 hours away from home we would be regulars. Had lunch in cafe that was nice too.....really enjoyed thanks Foel Farm

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour around this remarkable building with a fascinating history. It’s been a goal, held prisoners of war and been police station. It’s history is explained on numerous information boards you read as you go around and questions are answered by friendly and well informed staff. Ask about the paranormal activity in the place if you want to make your tour around feel a bit more spooky! Their COVID precautions are good and everyone was observing them which was great. We we there for about 90 minutes but pretty much read everything! Recommend.

Plas Newydd House and Garden

Home of the Marquess of Anglesey, with spectacular views of Snowdonia.Set on the shores of the Menai Strait amidst breathtakingly beautiful scenery, this elegant house was redesigned by James Wyatt in the 18th century. The 1930s restyled interior is famous for its Rex Whistler association, containing his largest painting and exhibition.A military museum contains relics from the 1st Marquess of Anglesey's tenure, who commanded the cavalry at the Battle of Waterloo. There's a fine spring garden and Australasian arboretum, with an understorey of shrubs and wild flowers, a summer terrace, and massed hydrangeas which give autumn colour. A woodland walk gives access to a marine path beside the Menai Strait. Due to an ongoing reservicing project in the house, some rooms or areas may be closed. Opening and tour arrangements may vary.

This is a really excellent all round visit: beautiful spacious grounds with vistas of the Menai Strait, Snowdon etc & even red squirrels (my only regret is their moving too swiftly for me to get a photograph). Hats off to their inside work, keeping much open despite the huge scale renovations & managing to tell the tale of the house & explain about the ongoing work. I appreciated the video of the Marguess of Anglesey talking about Beaudesert a great deal. Staff in House, Cafe & Shop were top class.
