El Corte Ingles de Gaia

Reviewed By thetravellingmanUk

We made our way from our hotel by bus, changing at Joao De Deus, to get the metro into Porto centre. It was while we were waiting for the metro at Joao De Deus station that my wife spotted this gigantic store. I could see that my wife was eager to have a look around, so we paid a visit. I am not into these shopping centres, being a man it is not something that generally interests me, but on this occasion I have to put my hands up and say, yes I did enjoy looking around the vast range of goods. What amazed us was there is virtually as many floors below ground level as what there is above it! There is not much that you won't find in this store. From clothing to perfumes, from tableware to books, from toys and games to televisions, a supermarket, and a cafeteria. We both ended up having a totally positive shopping experience, and I don't often say that about shopping expeditions!
