I can’t recommend visiting Lanta Animal Welfare enough! We weren’t sure what the center would be like in the low season (most of the rest of the island is a ghost town) but the second we walked in, we were warmly greeted by a volunteer named Kelly who got us signed up to take some puppies on a walk and take a tour of the facilities. While we waited, we got to cuddle with all the friendly cats in their “cat city” and chat with Kelly about they work they do there. Dog walking was really fun — we got to walk two super energetic pups and the volunteers that walked with us were friendly and eager to chat with us. They also had mosquito repellant that they offered us as we walked through part of the woods. After dog walking, Kelly gave us a full tour of the facilities and talked in great detail about every space, dog, and activity that went on at the center. She was super knowledgeable and communicated an incredible amount of info while keeping it engaging and interesting — not an easy feat, as it was POURING rain for most of the tour. After the tour, she let everyone know what they could do to support the center’s efforts, both monetarily and not. I can’t stress enough what a great time we had at the center and how much anyone coming to Thailand should come visit! Learning about their mission and cuddling kittens were both highlights of our entire Thailand trip.

The experience I had with Patong Inn Art was amazing. I ordered 4 large paintings and a couple of my travel companions also ordered 3 or 4 items. We required all within 14 days and the service was exceptional. Ray listened to all our requirements, was very patient with any changes we wanted and provided the best advice. The artist worked so hard for us and all paintings were beyond expectations. I would recommend Patong Inn Art to anyone who would like artwork done while in Phuket.

Tha Pae Walking Street

Reviewed By Krubee - Singapore, Singapore

I would says its as whimsical experience. Starting at dusk around 4 PM, Chiang Mai's Old city transforms from a historical laid back town of temples, eateries, shops and hotels with tuk tuks, bicycles and cars roaming through its roads into a magical night filled with hundreds of stalls, closing the road and lights turning up all around. From this point everyone in Chiang Mai settles into Tha Pae Walking Street night market. It only happens on Sunday from 4 PM till midnight. With Chiang Mai's temperature starts to become cooler around this time, it is a very delightful, wonderful and enjoyable experience walking around and I mean for hours until your feet gets tired. The market showcases not only bargain clothes, footwear, accessories, and souvenirs but Chiang Mai's arts, crafts and music are very much displayed here. Traditional musicians and live bands play at the intersections. Paintings, Vases, Wooden/Ceramic/Glass arts are showcase - my favorite are the cute Cat figurines. Food is very abundant - traditional Thai sweets, Street foods and Exotic ones. Drinks are everywhere so you won't get thirsty. Very unique and cute street foods like Chocolate coated fruits are everywhere. In between the stalls you could find open seating restaurants. Temples are alighted blooming with beautiful night lanterns in different colors. Museums, Massage shops, Cafes, and Bars are also there if ever you need some relaxation. But what's really amazing about this are the people - despite the throngs of crowds both tourists and locals alike there is always a room for everyone. I even took a couple of photos and videos for beautiful memories. After walking for 4 hours we called it a night - happy and satisfied for the food, clothes and souvenirs we bought. So if you go to Chiang Mai make it a point to go on a Sunday so you can experience this Magical Night Market.

Sunday Walking Street Market (Lard Yai)

Sundays are lively affair along Phuket Town's Thalang Road, where the island's famous Walking Street (locally called Lard Yai) hosts 30+ stalls selling local fare and handicraft products.

We had a great Sunday night wander up and down sampling loads of different street food options. It had rained during the day but fined up in the late afternoon so we took the chance it would still be on and I am so glad we did! There was some great opportunities to stop and watch some street performers and when it got a bit crowded (as it got later) there were street side cafes to escape into to sit down a bit removed form the hustle and bustle whilst still able to people watch. My tip would be to go early before it gets too hectic - we went in low season and that was busy enough for me!

BLUPORT Hua Hin Resort Mall

Reviewed By MargaretLee - Hong Kong, China

Come to here almost everyday in our 10-day vacation in Hua Hin! We like Bluport a lot more than Market Village - newly built, very organized, nicely decorated, good brands, tremendous choices of restaurants, eateries and kiosks and the awesome supermarket. As the mall is decorated under the theme of port, we see a lot of greens, ponds, rivers, yachts and benches. Even toilet is decorated under different port elements, which give you a relaxing pleasure when you are busy with the call of nature. The Gourmet Market is a terrific where reasonably priced high quality groceries and souvenirs are available. Absolutely a 5-star shopping center to visit! Don’t miss it! Tips: if you purchase merchandise worth more than Bahts 2000, the cashier can process tax refund paper immediately if you can provide the passport document. Though the actual cash refund is still being done in airport, it saves you a lot of processing time in the airport. Therefore, don’t forget to bring your passport!
