Bonebakker Jeweler Amsterdam

Reviewed By DMCShoes - London, United Kingdom

Flying by the seat of my pants, I had one morning following a conference to find the perfect engagement ring, ahead of our four day French extravaganza. I emailed Bonebakker in advance as it was a public holiday that day. Right from the off, the service I received from Jannie was phenomenal. They gave me advice on how to get there if Ajax won the cup (they didn’t) and information of their shorter opening hours on the day. We discussed what style I was looking for, rough budget and they let me know they would have a range of rings and diamonds for me to view. The store it’s self is stunning. I managed to make it past the cigar shop, as this wasn’t shopping for me! I was welcomed in, offered coffee and after introductions we got to the best bit. They had a range within my budget, no hard push or sell. Just very clear advice and explanations of the, myriad of different terminology associated with purchasing a diamond. I asked to see some additional rings which they brought out explaining that they hadn’t shown me these as they were a little beyond the budget. Again the explanation of the different settings, sizes, clarity etc. was honest and helpful. I had a great experience, in what could have been a very stressful situation. I based my choice of jewellers based on other reviews. I really don’t bother to write reviews as I’m a big believer in forming your own opinions. However, I cannot recommend Bonebakker highly enough. I got an absolutely stunning diamond, superb clarity and beautifully set in simple yet stunning ring. She said yes! She loves the ring. I’m made up.

Wow! Where do I begin? Decided to visit Cigaragua in Amsterdam purely based on ALL the raving reviews on how good this place is. Had to go experience it myself. The minute I walked in, I was greeted by a friendly welcoming face, Onno. This man knows his products (Cigars) inside out. We had a grand tour of their huge walk-in humidor and he personally talked me through each of my sections. (yes i did purchase alot!) We then got an invite to their lounge (located below the walk-in humidor). My Padron was cut and lit to my preference and paired with a beautiful 12 year Flo De Cana. Several hours later, regrettably the wife & I had to leave as it was past their closing time. If you are looking for a informative, relaxed, reputably cigar shop with great staff (cannot commend Onno enough) with stunning décor and ambience to match… Cigaragua is your place of choice. Its not just a cigar shop...its an experience! Thank you Onno & Cigaragua! Hopefully see you later the year for the annual Big Smoke
