Nice location with great views over the river and woods, the main restaurant area is large and a bit noisy, the overall decor and setting is very 1982. Plenty of choice on the menu with an emphasis on fish and seafood (mostly frozen) but again the impression is very 1980s, with standard and very traditional pastas and risottos, dull seafood and very odd offer of fish and meat prepared 'as you like it' with no further details (I was tempted to order miso marinated sea bass and chicken fajitas just to test the waiters).Food is not bad but it is overall predictable and dull with standard Italian table wines, standard desserts and nothing that really stands out.Restaurant is a very popular wedding and family celebrations venue but as a dining experience it really feels like time traveling and not in a quirky or interesting way.

I ate here last night with a Groupon coupon. We had a starter consisting of mixed cold meats with a bit of mozzarella. It was all very good. Then I took the risotto and my husband got pasta with rucola and gorgonzola (portions very generous ) We both thoroughly enjoyed our dishes. We then took a tagliata. The portions here were much more limited than the previous ones but the meat was very tasty indeed. We had chips too but they arrived when we'd nearly finished. To conclude my husband took the tiramisù and I got the lemon mousse with fruits of the forest. Both desserts were really nice. The only negative thing about the evening was the extremely slow service. Both waitresses were ever so friendly but maybe they weren't expecting so many people on the 13th August (the place was full both inside and out). The fish dishes looked and smelled very inviting and so the next time I'm in brivio I'll be back to try.

The restaurant is very old looking when you walk in, but not in a bad way. The food is outstanding and the staff is very helpful, plus you can see the lake while you eat and drink, which is a plus. The restaurant is in a not really happy position and it's not really inviting you from outside .... the position is not granting you a good panorama BUTthe service is excellent, waiters are really nice and kind, here the words "at your service" have really a meaning. they are also very well organized and quick in serving and reacting to customers requests. I was there with some english friends and the waiters were helping .... in top the menu is in italian and english language.the food is really goods, very high quality ingredients and very well cooked. pizza menu has a lot of choices, ok for vegetarian and for vegan as well. you can ask also for white pizza.the menu a la carte is full of opportunities and with lot of interesting choices: pistachio risotto or steak i had a steak with artichokes and it was amazing we had also a Fritto Misto, it was very well cooked, crispy out and sweet and soft inside.there are some home made dessert very good ... i would suggest the tiramisu, a never ending classic in italy and here it's well done.whine list long and with lot of choices with also the possibility to have a glass of local wines produced in Montevecchia overall i could say that this restaurant could be a 5 stars ... it's a pity the location.

I live in Osnago so it is a comfort to have such a great restaurant in walking distance.The food is really heavenly, very fresh, delicate, tastes excellent and very well prepared visibly. They also have a very rich wine list. The service is excellent and classy. It is truly the quintessence of Italian cuisine. Especially the seafood, I have tried in several locations and 5 star restaurants but this one is still my favorite.

I am really happy to write a good review about this restaurant. W alone went on a business trip to this unknown part of northern Italy, 20 - 25 km north of Milan.The restaurant was found by pure chance, in the centre of a small town (Cernusco Lombardone). The restaurant inside is not extremely big, I would count a maximum of 40 seats, divided in three rooms. The walls are lovely decorated, and also the glasses on the table were quite unique in their shape and colours.The food was very finely cooked. There is obviously the possibility to choose between fish, meat and vegetarian dishes.I had a starter of moscardini (a small octopus) with safran sauce, then a dish called "strangolapreti" (small size pasta) with vegetables and calamari.As a dessert I had a "tarte-tatin" with lime cream... really delicious.Just to finish, the price was absolutely reasonable for such a dinner.Therefore let me wish you: "Buon Appetito" !

The meal are good but very unusual and particular, no standard italian specialities.The atmosfere is good and quite, ig spaces and outside garden.Exellent service.not reccomended for childrens.Price are very high, too high, even for a good restaurant.

The Osteria dello Strecciolo is in a relatively anonymous town in the province of Lecco. We stumbled upon it by chance and were elated with the discovery. The menu is very original without it being overly pretentious. A fine balance of tradition with novelty. The produce is first class as is the presentation of the dishes. Everything is done with great care and passion. Notable were the fresh pasta with prawns and the slip soles. The service is impeccable and the wine list is the sort that you would expect to find in a starred restaurant. The passion of the owners is evident in the overall quality and attention to detail. Please go. You will be delighted.

Very fine modern restaurant, rather hidden away at the back of a courtyard in central Merate. (Check directions when booking.) Excellent, subtle cooking, and extensive choice of wine. Charming personnel. A great pleasure, and not expensive in comparison with other similar restaurants.
