We were two adults and a teenage daughter.The menus were very interesting in that they were illuminated. We ordered a la carter and found the food to be of a high standard. The service was excellent as you would expect from an Anantara hotel. AVery dramatic entrance and good views of the sea before sunset. After sunset, there isnât very much to see so you may as well stay close the the hotel.Would we go back? Just had dinner here on our last night in Samui. We ordered the beef massaman, crispy sea bass with mango salad, and seafood coconut custard (a savoury dish).It's an extraordinary venue, great atmosphere with reasonable food prices for the location. Many others on this stretch of the beach are exorbitantly priced.The service from Pui was spot on and she was most helpful. Service was timely and the food came at the right temperature.The massaman was equal to the best we've ever had, ever. Delicate, rich, and made in the proper slow cooked fashion. It came with roti bread.The crispy fish was cooked well and tasted great, but the highlight of that dish was the amazing mango salad that came with it. It complemented the fish perfectly. Beware, the mango salad is spicy. The seafood coconut custard was most unusual, maybe not to everyone's liking, but we really enjoyed it. It was a version of a red curry and beautifully presented in the shell.Drinks were ok for the price. We had mojitos, and they weren't watered down. Very tasty. Donât be put off by the main road location, there is easy parking at the side and once inside youâll be absorbed by the amazing cuisine & fabulous service. Thereâs something for everyone with Local & International menu choices. Then comes the good news, the bill....itâs tiny! Very reasonably price for an excellent dining experience.

Landed on Samui on a Friday so went straight to the walking street and The Shack with friends! We love to hang out at the Shack on a Friday eating real food, chatting with the expats and listening to Mark James. And we spotted some MMA fighters and people from the Singapore Grand Prix too!For main course I ordered a whole Maine Lobster that was grilled on the open grill and basked with butter. I also ordered the special seafood sauce on the side.. not to be missed - SPICY! There is new stuff on the menu, Halloumi fries with tzatziki. Absolutely amazing!! This I will be ordering again and again. Even though it was rather packed that day the staff gave us their full attention and nothing was overlooked. Very good service from those girls and boys! We'll be back as soon as possible.

I live in Samui and was recently invited to attend an exclusive vegan food and organic wine evening. I didn't have any real expectations of a gourmet meal (not being a vegan myself) but I have to say it was fantastic! I was blown away by the creativity, variety and taste!Chef Nick and his team had gone all out to create a menu that could be served in any top restaurant in the world. The disadvantage is that lobsters are too small.The lobster pliers are too hard. The restaurant should be handled first. Located on Beach Road in the heart of the Fishermanâs Village. This is definitely not one of your standard Thai/Italian eateries, which there seem to be an abundance on Samui. 2 Fishes Samui would not be out of place with the best Italian restaurants in Melbourne.Itâs modernist decor, exposed polished concrete environment and black timber is actually quite comfortable. The placement of the kitchen within the restaurant allows patrons to watch the chefs at work. You can tell that owner/chef, Leandro, has worked in quality restaurants around the world just by the layout, the immaculate/cleanliness of the kitchen and the pride he has in his staff and the quality of the food.For starters we went with the Queenfish Carpaccio and the Roasted Eggplant puree, dry Olives, Pomegranate, Pecorino Cheese and Crostini. Both of our starters were amazing, full of flavour and impeccably presented.For mains we had the Prawn Risotto and Wilted Broccoli & Ricotta filled Tortellini with a pork sausage and white wine sauce. The homemade pasta was cooked to perfection, al denta just the way it should be.Highly recommended if you are looking for great Italian food and are happy to pay the price for a quality dining experience. You canât go wrong with eating at 2 Fishes Samui.

I will add another rave review for this fantastic little restaurant. The Italian menu is creative and uses fresh local ingredients (like fish) with Italian pasta, cheeses and flavours. There is also an excellent Italian wine menu. One of the best restaurant meals ever, authentic and delicious Italian food in a lovely space, with excellent service and atmosphere. Very highly recommended.

Everything was delicious and the staff were so friendly and helpful. No paper menu for food as they go over a blackboard with the current menu with you after you order drinks. Everything was delicious. The crab risotto and mushroom salad might be my ultimate faves but the fried calamari is a crowd pleaser too. The fried fish was also really good. Highly recommend the coconut ice cream for dessert!The owners were so nice and Supattra (the chef) even came over and asked us about our meals. The dinner was so yummy that I came back by myself the next week! The service is really great - definitely up to my NYC standards, which is saying a lot for Thailand!
