Heaving with local families this unexpected delight is around the back of the village square in an uninviting basement exterior.However the food is simple and superb value for money. The waiters are friendly and accommodating and the rustic interior provides a great setting to experience Sardinian culture. Wonderful!

We went there for dinner, a reservation is necessary. Although we don't speak any Italian we were able to make ourselves understood, the staff was very nice, lovely even, and helpful. The mussels as well as the sea food risotto was fantastic and authentic. If you eher come to Portoscuso, go to L'ancora, it's absolutely worth it!

I visited in August, while on my solo bike ride. All the staff were very welcoming and keen to help. They helped me find food I could eat (I'm gluten-free and also don't speak Italian)....which was really tasty. I recommend!

I had been to this place a few years earlier and had been pleasantly surprised at the time. This time it was just as good with the seafood antipasti (around 10) as imaginative and surprising as the first time.

Visited this restaurant three times whilst staying in Carbonia. Busy with local people, excellent pizza and wine. Very busy even on a Tuesday evening. We went there for dinner and then again for lunch the day after. Service very good. Food excellent and prices low. What more can you ask for? Well maybe outside seating... recomended!

We had our easter lunch at this lovely restaurant and i can say it surpassed our expectations by faaaar!!!! We had a fixed menu a mix of sea food and typical cold cuts...exquisite, amazing!!! A great host too who was nice to our daughter. Definately worth every cent!!!
