We stopped by here with a tour guide and went inside. It had been recently returned to the church and I did not see any museum artifacts inside. It was just a quick stop but ot was beautiful and there was a simple wedding taking place at the altar. The icons were amazing.

Trinity Cathedral in St. Petersburg is an architectural monument of late classicism. It got its name from the Izmailovsky Regiment, one of the oldest in Russia. The regiment was founded by Empress Anna Ioannovna in 1730 under the name of the village of Izmailovsky in the suburbs. Often called the Trinity Izmailovsky Church. It is one of the most monumental in the Northern capital.
