The attention to detail in the game was amazing and the puzzles kept us on our toes the whole time. My coworkers and I decided to enjoy an evening out together and decided on a escape room. A few of us had been to different escape rooms while the rest had never been to an escape/ puzzle room before. We went to Complexity in Farmington,CT and decide to do the most challenging room “The Mall”. The Mall was very challenging, complex, entertaining, at times frustrating, fun, and just plain amazing. Our group of 7 all participated and everyone helped out to solve the clues. We did have to ask for some clues from the staff, but were proud of ourselves for completing all tasks with 1:04 minutes left to spare. Truly a mind boggling and fun time for all of us. We are definitely going back in the near future. The staff at Complexity were knowledgeable, kind, enthusiastic, and brilliant to develop such a clever themed puzzle room. The place was clean and the staff was very accommodating when some of of group was running late. Truly a must for all age groups- just choose the best room for your skilled group.

We booked an overnight trip for my son's 11th birthday and in looking for possible socially-distanced activities we could do indoors, we came across the idea of escape rooms. Team vs. Time had great reviews, but I wasn't so sure how great it would be for my newly-11-year-old and 8.5 year old. I emailed Team vs. Time and they recommended Gangster's Gamble as a good one to do for beginners (it was our first ever escape room). We gave my son the option to choose which room he wanted to do and after reading the descriptions, he happened to choose that room so we went with it. Well, it was an EXCELLENT choice! First, the location is a standalone location (next door to Quest labs). Ample parking in the back. Private escape rooms (this was a must for us during these covid times). Once in your room with your own group, you had the option to remove your masks if you chose, or leave them on. The staff member that met us was friendly and wore his mask. He took a picture of us with my camera when I asked him to at the end. He brought us to the starting room, explained how it all works and left us to begin. There were 3 rooms in total. Theming was great, lots of puzzles and things to figure out. We got stumped twice and they gave us 2 clues which didn't give the answers away, but helped enough that we eventually figured out what to do. Two adults and two children finished with 2 minutes left and only needed 2 clues! The room has a 30% "escape" rate so were really excited to finish under the 60 minute time limit. We left on a high from the excitement, lots of fun. One issue we had was that the rooms were far too warm - we had to take off our layers and even then it felt warm. And if we had to make a small recommendation it would be that we would have liked to have maybe some props to take a group picture at the end (like "We did it!" or "We found the evidence!" you get the idea). Honestly though it was a great experience and my kids enjoyed it so much they asked to do another escape room. One tip for the grown ups - if you need reading glasses, bring them with you!

Puzzle Theory has several rooms that revolve around the same characters in different scenarios (so they tie together), we only did one room but it was so fun we’re looking forward to going back for the others! The jungle room was very immersive and had innovative puzzles that went beyond simple locks.... is the closest you can get to feeling like you’re in Jumanji. The staff was very friendly and loved to talk about the room and puzzles after we solved it.
