"Mesogeios" Restaurant is situated in Limenas, the capital of Thassos. Our restaurant is open all year round and on a daily basis and is a reference point for taste, quality and service. Our restaurant is located in the harbour area, right next to the sea and serves as an ideal destination for delicious trips from noon till late at night.

Great place to eat inside for non smokers as they have table signs No Smoking. If you eat outside you will have customers smoking near you especially chain smokers.
The menue for dishes is extensive specially you can eat Lamp (Lamb). We had for the first time fryed Feta cheese with sesame seeds with drizzled of Thassos honey severed warm. This was truly scrumptious. There lamb shank is excellant. The medium sweet red house wine good. After the a free dessert of water melon and a small delicious ice cream lolly. The food presentation was excellant. Inside atmosphere was good.
The waitering service was good, but when slow they keep walking in and out of inside restaurant. The younger waiters have very little eye contact with their customers, even a smile would be of great value.
Highly recommended.

I am big big fan of lovely Greek cuisine, sea food in particular. I have been to many Greek Islands that have incredible fresh fish and mezes. Unfortunately Thassos is somewhat out of this league. Piatsa Michalis is no exception. Serving is fast, but the food is literally tasteless. All frozen then griIled very dry. I do not want to blame them for any reason, may be Greeks can enlighten us about this untraditional low quality cuisine in Thassos comparing to other Greek Islands.

Between Zorba and Tavernaki. Friendly and efficient staff. Good taverna menu, reasonable prices, clean and nice surroundings. Open air in a sidestreet so good for people watching. Visited four times and no complaint except for the watermelon you were given when you asked for the bill!

Christina always made us so welcome to her beautiful restaurant along with the lovely hard working Kiki. We enjoyed everything we eat here especially the recommended fish dishes. We noticed one couple sitting at the same front table every day for nearly 2 weeks!

A lovely restaurant in the heart of Thassos Town serving a fantastic range of Greek specialities including kleftico, stifado, mousaka and a range of mezes (fish, meat and vegetarian). Located on the marina in Thassos Town Thassian-Doukas has been providing quality Greek food for over 30 years. Run by local families with a love of fine food.

We had lunch once and dinner twice here. The premises are one of the largest in town but the staffing ratio is definitely the highest. The level of service is good and amazingly quick.
The food is above average quality, the portions are a decent size and the prices are good. 12 inch pizza, spaghetti with king prawns and half a litre of house wine came to around €25.
Well worth a look even if it seems busy. You'll have a member of staff toyour table within a couple of minutes max.

The good news is that the piazza where the restaurant is was not affected by the 2016 fire. The road up to Kazaviti is a bit depressing but the village is mostly intact. The food is still good with great hamburgers, mousaka and probably the best imam on the island. Unfortunately, they did not have the slowly baked goat we like and the goat on the spit was a bit dry. The rice for the stuffing of the zucchini flowers was less than spectacular though we enjoyed it (and got addicted to it) in this very place in the past. They have a great traditional ice cream called caimaki which is dangerously good. We just do not understand what happened with all the friendly, English-speaking staff. We will go back anyway.

Good bar just in the middle of the town - at corner! There are many other bars around. Good music, but noisy and many peoples after 8 pm

The food is always fresh and with a very different taste than I ever tried . Is sublime . Never ate like this . Very very fresh . It is very difficult to decide what to eat because all the food from menu is extraordinary
The personal very very nice and good people and the owner made us to feel like we are from the family .
We ate there every day since we discovered .
I highly recommend all the dishes I cannot decide ofone in particulary . I know that I become addicted of musle with saganaki which I cannot find somewhere else so good like in Tavernaki.
