The market in tepozotlan is right across the street from the restaurant. Because of the size of the restaurant you have the option to order or eat from the buffet.
Service is good and food quality as well. You can then cross the street and have an elote baked for you by locals.
Valet parking is available.

Spend the day in Tepotzotlan, and visit the museum, a 4 block sized old franciscan convent, the church complex houses paintings, 2 churches, and it's all there.
Complete your journey by visiting the hosteria del convento and indulge in mexican food overlooking the church, and if you're lucky you'll get to hear the sunday concert playing next door.

For 225MXN you can try several dishes, all you can eat. Despite being a buffet, the food was well prepared (sometimes buffet can be over cooked or not warm enough).
Different soups, meats and tortillas!
I particularly enjoyed the Mixiote and the Barbacoa soup. Both very delicious.
It also offers a la carte on the second floor, where you can have a nice view while trying a gourmet menu (at a much higher price of course).
We preferred the humble buffet and the experience was great.

I have been visiting Mexico yearly for the last 9 years and can easily say that my lunch at the Cenaduría Casa Mary is one of the best authentic Mexican meals I have had while in Mexico. I recently attended a congress at the Museo Nacional del Virreinato, and we were taken here for lunch. It is truly a gem!
The service is excellent, the presentation is beautiful, and the taste is truly delicious. There is definitely something for everyone on this menu. The meals are prepared at the moment that they are ordered, so they are very fresh. They pride themselves on local, quality, fresh ingredients- and this is evident in the dishes. The prices are very reasonable, which allows you to try more than one dish.
The menu offers Huaraches, Chilaquiles, Enomoladas, Enfrijoladas, Molletes, Sopes, Tacos, Quesadillas, Gorditas, Tostadas, Tacos Dorados, Pambazos, Tlacoyos, and many chicken dishes. The day I was there, they had Pozole and Chiles en Nogada on the menu. Everything that I tried was excellent; the Chiles en Nogada were a standout. My colleagues also commented on the fresh flavors and how much they were enjoying their meal. In addition to these dishes, they have a wide variety of desserts on the menu.
Next door to the restaurant is a gourmet café that is owned by the same family. The café offers excellent Cappuccinos, Lattes, Espresso, and Americanos. The coffee that is used is free trade and organic. They put a lot of care into their coffees, teas and their service.
The restaurant and the café are not on the main square of Tepotzotlan, nevertheless, they are definitely worth visiting. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. I will definitely be returning to Cenaduría Casa Mary when I return to Tepotztolán next year.

Absolutely amazing restaurant in a lovely province, not far from Mexico City. I'm so glad I had a chance to have my birthday celebration there during my visit in Mexico. The service and the food quality and selection were fantastic. Very fresh, very tasty, traditional Mexican meals prepared on the spot. The fact that I'm vegan wasn't a problem at all. They prepared a great vegan meal especially for me consisted of organically grown veggies and salads + I got a vegan birthday desert for which they made up the recipe right on the spot.
If you wanna have an authentic, high quality Mexican cuisine experience in a vibrant ambient, this is the place to visit!

My wife and I were visiting her parents in Tepotzotlan and we came here for lunch. The atmosphere is great - it has a very homey feel. The food was inexpensive and really good. The Sandwich I had was 60 pesos and large enough to fill me up. It was much better food and a much better value than the tourist places in the town square. This is really a gem in town.

Excellent locally roasted coffee made by people who really know about coffee--they'll tell you about the whole process, from harvest to cup. Delicious food as well, both for breakfast and light lunches/dinners.

La visite en el recorrido que brinda el turibus del sitio, este lugar resguarda historia de nuestro antepasados, en el jardín nos contaron que comenzaron con la evangelización de los pueblos.
También la historia de la catrina, la cual surgió como sátira del caricaturista José Guadalupe Posada, de las mujeres indígenas vestidas como las españolas. La cual después fue perfeccionada por Diego Rivera. A la entrada te recibe a éste lugar. Al lugar que vayas debes visitar lugares como éste, para que entiendas un poco más de la importancia del lugar y de pasó un poco de cultura.
