I enjoyed moderate prices and local dishes, including the home brewed beer. No way to complain about anything from starter to dessert everything was good. Been there already twice. Nice atmosphère. I recommand. English menu available, very useful for tourists !

The Schnitzel and Fries I had weren't really all that great. Not bad, though. Just mediocre. Table water was warm.

Ralph Schmid (Küchenmeister) und Andrea Marx (Service) sind nach 11 Jahren wieder in Schorndorf und haben der "Becka Kurze" Leben eingehaucht. Und wie!
Man merkt, dass beide Vollblutgastronomen sind.
Nun, die "Becka Kurze" ist ein kleines, uriges Wirtschäftle mit maximal 30 Sitzplätzen. Daher ist zusammenrücken angesagt. Aber das macht man gerne da das Essen einfach unübertroffen lecker ist. Im Sommer lockt ein schöner Außenbereich.
Auf der kleinen Karte bzw. Tafel finden sich
Rostbraten (auf den Punkt gegart und zart) dazu Bratkartoffeln die diesen Namen zurecht tragen dürfen oder frische Spätzle.
Saure Kutteln wie sie sein sollen.
Wurstsalat schmackhaft und schön arrangiert.
Gaisburger Marsch nicht einfach im Napf serviert sondern optisch schön an den Gast gebracht.
Hausgemachte Maultaschen und Kartoffelsalat (keiner aus dem Eimer sondern einer der "schwätzt") .
Da schlägt das Hausmannskost-Herz höher!
Aber nicht, dass der Küchenmeister "nur" schwäbisch kocht.
Herr Schmid beherrscht auch die feine Küche die er regelmäßig als Tagesgericht einstreut.
Was soll ich noch schreiben, geht hin und testet! Aber reservieren nicht vergessen!

The Pfauen is nestled in the middle with Schorndorf adjacent to the plaza; a quaint little hotel with about 10 rooms provides some amenities that other small German and European cities/towns don't; having air conditioned rooms during the warm summer months is certainly one of them. When the restaurant is open it has fantastic food, however it seems like the hotel has changed hands several times over the past few years, hence changing menu and hours. The Pfauen has very modern rooms and furniture, and the service has always been outstanding; I highly recommend this hotel, and this town for business or pleasure.

While traveling in Schorndorf for work, this was one of our regular "go to restaurants." Everything on the menu was consistently good during all of our visits. The rinderfilet was fantastic, one of the better steaks I have had in Germany and the chef cooked it perfectly. Their pastas and pizzas are homemade and are wonderful as well. We visited so many times that the wait staff knew us by name and made us feel at home whenever we walked in for dinner.

Das Weiße Lamm ist ein richtig nettes Gasthaus. Ich habe dort eine Nacht Station während einer Mehrtageswanderung gemacht. Auf der Speisekarte steht Schwäbisches, richtig lecker gekocht. Der Service ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Zimmer ist sehr sauber und hat alles, was man braucht. Frühstück gibt es leider keines, aber es sind viele Bäcker in der Nähe, da die Lage sehr zentral ist.
Ich würde wieder hingehen!

Am Besten man läuft vor dem Kinobesuch ins Joe Pena und reserviert, so hat man nach dem Kinofilm keine Wartezeit. denn die Idee, noch einen Cocktail zu genießen, haben vor allem am Wochenende mehrere Leute.
Der Service ist etwas schroff und freudlos. Die Musik leider etwas zu laut um sich gut unterhalten zu können. dagegen sind die Cocktails und das Essen sehr lecker.Vor allem super ist die Happy Hour, in der alle Cocktails verbilligt sind. Und die haben es trotzdem noch in sich! Mexiko Feeling stellt sich aber nur bedingt ein

Wir konnten im Garten sitzen und den schönen Abend genießen! Freundliche Bedienung, lecker Essen und Getränke was will Mann / Frau mehr! Wir kommen wieder!

Best Greek food I've had. Huge portions and delicious meal. Highly recommend the Mousaka and Irodion-Teller. Enjoyed a fun, fresh, well prepared meal with a group of about 20 people in a wedding party on our recovery day. Worth the visit if in Schorndorf.
