I entered in here on this Saturday afternoon for a lunch. Ordered chicken biryani and lamb curry, specifically instructing the extremely caring waitress to make it hot 'n spicy. Until the entire period of my presence there, I could see many local residents frequent this place, all of them sitting outside enjoying the Sunshine and also because of a lack of a good Seating environ inside. Shows how familiar this restaurant is among the local residents. The waitress who took my order was an extremely care taking attitude girl, frequently enquiring whether the food is okay and whether the extra spicy food is okay for me. This restaurant in the Wien Strasse, marks how good the location is. I would say the food reminds you of the aroma of an Indian/Pakistani cuisine though I would rate their lamb curry better than their chicken biryani, which need some more refinement. Biryani also has a deep saffron colour which indicates of the many ready-made powders put to use. A very peculiar aspect of my entire presence there was that the host was in not a friendly mood; neither did he communicate with me, nor have even an eye contact with me and also was on the offensive with the two waitresses. This was peculiar to all other Indian/Pakistani restaurants I had visited. The hosts/cooks if they hail from the south Asian region would atleast exchange some pleasantries but this guy......!! In all I could sum-up that the restaurant is in a prime location, local patronage is there, a little high priced for an ok quality food which would need more perfection for a match to the real south Asian cuisine, disappointing list of menu which shows the rotis and parottas but not available, good caring waitresses and all managed by a strange host/cook. For sure a place for a change of taste if one longs for it.

Sunday noon and hundreds of guests . One would belive it is for the quality or friendliness.
Not quite -- there is a menu with a lot of local specialities and a very efficient service system but in spite of quite ambitionate interior design (rural modern) it laks atmosphere and charm and regrettable real good food. Average it is .

What can I say, 3 times we have eaten here and never were we disappointed. The ambiance is very homely, the gastgarten is very beautiful. Now for the food, the menu is not extensive but has enough variation to suit everyone. The beef schnitzels are very good coated with mustard and horseradish.... The fish dishes delicate and the dessert are delightful.... They have a vey extensive wine list and good prices so no problem....

Arriving at St. Polten station with an hour's wait for the Mariazellerbahn train, we despaired seeing only a McDonald's open early on a Saturday morning. We needed coffee. We tried the city's main square - dead as a doornail. In fairness, maybe the establishments there were just recuperating from Friday night revels. But nothing was open.
We then headed toward some interesting steeples in the distance and were delighted to find Domplatz, a lively little place with the Saturday market just getting underway and the Cafe Schubert on its pleasant corner already full of people.
Not only did the tables out front prove to be a delightful place from which to view the market's colorful goings-on but on the far side of the square were more tables and chairs punctuated by big Cafe Schubert sun umbrellas, so it appears that as the day goes on and more people arrive, there's another Seating option right in the midst of the day's action.
We only had time for a quick but well-brewed coffee and a small pastry that made up in sweetness for what it lacked in size, but we were able to fortify ourselves for the upcoming train ride to Mariazell and at the same time soak up a little of the local atmosphere on a busy market day at Domplatz. It was all quite charming, and the cafe was a pleasant oasis, not to mention a better option for coffee than the standard McDonald's back at the station.

When in Sankt Polten Khim's is a must.... I've eaten here countless times the food is absolutely the best I've had in Europe and it taste as good and even better then you will find in many places in Malaysia.... Sigh sigh sigh I will miss this great food... Will be back for more.

I was very comfortable here and the food was really good. They have a menu in English for those of us that have no German capability and they also have very friendly waiters who speak English. I enjoyed the food and felt it was good value for the price. Always dined alone and felt very welcome. I was in St. Polten for over a month and had dinner there many times. Everything I tried was very good... loved the fish!

Very friendly staff, a cheaper extra card for lunch.I was there very often and it was always very good.Some typical greek liqueur is always included and the have a very good greek wine.

Love this restaurant. The interior design is modern and stylish which makes you feel comfortable. The waiters and waitresses are very friendly and attentive. Food is of top quality, fresh, well prepared and of great variety. This has been the third visit for a special family lunch and we keep coming back here. I recommend this restaurant highly.

Whether only for antipasti & Aperol or a main dish with good wine, this restaurant has clean, open spaces (terrace in Summer) offering Italian flair and freshly prepared food. Pizzas have thin crusts and are prepared in the wood-burning oven.
