This is a great place to enjoy breakfast or a snack while looking out at the lake. Great service, great prices, and great atmosphere. It lost the excellent grade because I was no fan of their margaritas or rellena de mariscos. However, I won't dwell on those two items because this a great place with a diverse menu. Come have a beer, fresh juice, snack, or start your day with breakfast here, then after take a nice walk along the Malecon of lake Catemaco.

Catemaco is a community where Margaritas are hard to find. I found Restaurant La Casita just two blocks from where I was staying in the community at Casa Rosa. I was impressed with the organization, service, food, and most of all the Margaritas. The best that I have tasted in a long time. If you are Margarita people and hanging out in Catemaco, La Casita is the place the be. Get there early because doors close at 7 pm. You can also enjoy great Mexican food like tacos, fried mojarra(local fish), and mixed salads (my favorite the seafood salad).

We visit Cabana Del Lago several times when we got to Catemaco. Lina has prepared birthday parties for us with music. she will make a special dish for you upon request. Food is as good as it gets in the area, and that's pretty good. Prices are more than reasonable... Leave a big tip..

Restaurante aceptable. El servicio es rápido. Lo que no me gustó es que la comida es picante, si te gusta comer picante no hay problema, pero para los que no les gusta sufriran un poco.

We enjoyed this little restaurant on the Malecon. The service was fine and the food tasted good. As others have commented the cleanliness is suspect but I can't say that is much different from many of the roadside places I have visited in Mexico (or anywhere else for that matter). I take it as part of the experience of travel which doesn't mean I don't care, it just means I'm not limiting myself to 5 star restaurants only.

Winni's homemade soups are very good. There are always 2 from which to choose with their daily lunch special. The meal offers 3 different entrees from which to choose plus a small dessert and all the fruit water you want to drink. The price is very reasonable.

Our group had dinner here...they have some interesting menu items like 'coney dogs'...and chicken" burgers"..and onion rings.The poor waitress had a rush of customers plus our large group all by herself... but she and the cook managed to serve us a fairly good meal!
