L'Arbalete

Reviewed By llcoold - Holland

This place is a staple for most expat who have been around a while. The (beautiful) hostess is always warm and smiling, making you immediately feel welcome.
Most items in the menu are great, however I always take the escargot to start, and also enjoy the l'arbalete steak.
Prices are mid-to high range, but quality justifies it.

La Pyramide

We ate at this restaurant twice during our stay in Pointe Noire. The service, albeit a bit slow, was good and the food was VERY tasty and fresh. The location is amazing, right on the beach and the wind blows just enough to keep everyone comfortable. The rustic surroundings, thatched roof, decor was welcoming and with a tropical feel. I would not hesitate to return again and again.

20 years it has to come with a reason it last for so long. Love their pizza and burgers, they are really the best in Pointe-Noire. Good for a quick lunch break or pick a pizza on way home at night. You can call and place your order ahead too..

Chez Denise Le piano bar

Reviewed By George H - Switzerland

Chez Denise is a classic French bistro with good service, a wide menu of tasty dishes in generous portions and a solid winelist. I opened with the pistou soup which was packed with flavour, beans and basil. My companions had salads and enjoyed them too. My main was the risotto with mushrooms and prawns, serviced with parmesan and tender leaves of fresh basil as garnish. The ox tail received very favourable feedback from my friend and the pan fried fish was a large portion. I closed with a coconut flan which was sublime - creamy and well textured with a strong coconut flavour and a subtle sweetness. A great meal, helped by attentive waiting staff who kept our glasses topped up and were helpful without being intrusive.

The theme of the place as per it's name "la citronnelle" is very well maintained.. The lime and yellow coloured walls and tables gives you a unique splash of refreshment..
Restaurant is very good for breakfast, tea and coffee.. ☕️
I loved their food and desserts..
We had sandwiches, tea, coffee, chocolate fondant and banana tart.. Loved everything we ordered.. One of my favourite place in pointe noire..

Usually the access is reserved to Eni personnel. The place is very nice on the Pointe Noire beach, with the smell and sound of the ocean as background of the dinner. Price are in the average of medium/ggod restaurant of Pointe Noire. It's posssible also to eat quiote good pizza (obviously we are not in Italy).

La Brasserie de la Mer

Reviewed By AHOTELCRITIQUE

This restaurant serves decent food but this is seriously hindered by the situations I've encountered every time I've been there recently. Last time, there was a huge fight between two people who appeared to be customers.
The first time, the waiter was incredibly rude and insisted on charging me an amount above that stated in the "menu'".

Le Cercle

Very fast lunch service Which allows you to eat quickly and then take a nap. The menu of the day offers 3 starters, 3 main courses and several desserts. Friendly and smiling staff. Laurent the owner welcomes you to the right franquette. Pleasant site with smoking room, non-smoking air-conditioned every 2 and Terrace with fan and view on the tennis courts. If you want to avoid the traffic jams of Loango Avenue, you can go through Tchikobo.
