Normanby Hall Country Park

I visited the park yesterday, encouraged by the reviews. I would say the park tolerates dogs only. The first sign says that dogs must be kept on leads at all times (in a country park??). The cafe only allows assistant dogs and there are no facilities to tie up the dog while you go in to order food. In other parts of the country dogs are allowed in eating establishments. Will not repeat.

I booked a party for my son's 4th Birthday. Our experience was fun and exciting for the kids. Our host Chris did an amazing job entertaining, he was very pleasant and ensured that everyone had a great time. Food and drinks is available for adults from the main restaurant so you can enjoy a nice meal whilst your children play before they have their buffet. Would definetly recommend booking a party here.

The Pink Pig Farm

A friendly Lincolnshire farm with an award winning farm shop, butchery, restaurant, playbarn & family farm park. Free-range, homemade, happiness.

I visited this place with my husband & three kids on a Saturday afternoon. It cost £4.99 per child to use the indoor play area & adults also have to pay £2.50 each to sit & supervise their kids!! The price rises to £6.99 per child & £4.50 per adult if you want to visit the outdoor area & small farm. I think the price for the indoor play area is expensive compared to other similar places. The price for the farm & play area together is reasonable. The play area is nice & my children enjoyed it here and It is very clean & spacious. There was plenty of Seating & a small shop on the way out. We ordered a coffee, tea & 2 chocolate brownies & it was around £8. I was disappointed with the cake selection, flapjack & about 4 different variations of chocolate brownies only! I think a family ticket would be a good idea, as similar venues provide this. Otherwise it works out very expensive for families. I don't think we will visit again, as there are similar places in the area which provide better value for money.

Beautiful modern building attached to deconsecrated chufch. We popped to see an exhibition and was very happy to see the church part almost all open after masonry issues. Great exhibition by the way. Cafe with great food at reasonable prices too. Will be back with my camera to take photos of the angels

Glanford Park

If you are used to seeing the shiny Premier Stadiums on Television, then Glanford Park will come as a surprise. Very much in the mould of traditional grounds, and all the better for it. Welcoming and well stewarded, the sight lines from the visitor end are good and there are excellent catering outlets, including, it was good to see, a food counter facing outside to the concourse. I understand there are plans afoot to build a new stadium, but given that the crowd yesterday, including one of the larger away followings, still fell below five thousand, it is hard to see why at this stage.

Decided to walk the dog around here after shopping in Morrisons, if timed right can be very peaceful plenty of geese and ducks and a couple of swans. Many places for your dog to jump in and have a swim. They were just adding picnic tables when I visited but not sure I would rush down there for one. Plenty of scope but will be spoilt by jet skis soon.

It must be booking in advance before go attend the tour. There is a space free car park 200 yards from Appleby Frodingham Railway station platform, we went on the last one 4.30pm for the evening tour because it will take you to 100% of rail tracks in a two brake van with limited of passengers up to 20 with few no more than six seat you have to stand up it will last approximately 3 hours beware there is no toilet on brake van but the early timetable it will take you some tracks but not in 100% in two DMU carriages with plenty of seats and a toilet. It will haul vary diesel or steam depend on what day, My 4.30pm was haul by a steam.
