現南砺市、旧福野町にある地元の方が、一押しのラーメン店。お勧めは味噌ラーメン730円。チャーシューがでかい。麺は、太い縮れ麺。ボリュームがある。連休中に訪問したが、里帰りの方含め行列していた。田んぼの中のお勧めラーメン店。

We visited this quant village and stopped in for lunch. The setting in this restaurant was so inviting that we ended up devouring the Matsuya special for ¥1650. So much food but all so delicious! The host was so friendly! Anywhere else this amount of food would have been double the price. We never needed any dinner that night as we were still satisfied from our lunch.

相倉の合掌造り集落を見た帰りに昼食を食べに寄りました。土曜日の12時前でしたが、お客さんが入っていました。
そばと名物の豆腐の美味しいお店です。この地域の豆腐は固い豆腐で紐で吊るしてある写真がありました。
厚揚げの入った「とうふそば」を食べました。味は体に優しい薄味で温かいそばです。ざるそばもオススメだそうです。

The Onsen we were staying by recommended it. My wife had sushi of river a river fished called iwana and I had a plate of fried "croquette" and chicken. All of it was really delicious, including the local smaller dishes. On the way between shirakawa-go and Okayama village. The staff is extremely friendly. Although not sure if the speak English

福野駅前の便利な立地のラーメン屋さんです。
このお店のスープはホタテ、昆布などの魚介類で取った澄んだスープが最大の特徴です。
そのためスープの特徴を最大限に活かした塩ラーメンが断然おすすめです。
もちろん、醤油、味噌などのラーメンもありますがスープの味が死んでしまうと感じます。やはり、ほんのりと薄黄色のスープの塩ラーメンが最大の売りのラーメン店です。
具も鶏チャーシューや鶏だんごなどの、他店ではほとんど見ることがないあっさりした素材の具をトッピングするのがおすすめです。
このお店の塩ラーメンが好きで年に数回、旧福野町へビジネスで行った時にはかならず行っているのですが、オーナーがとても律義で商売上手な方です。
常連さんには新年にはかならず毎年、年賀状を送ってくれます。
この年賀状が2月末までのお店の福引券や割引券にもなっていて、福引ができたり、290円のギョーザが90円になるなどのサービスがあるので、わざわざまた行ってしまいます。
さっぱりした独特のラーメンがとても美味しいし、サービスにもいろいろと配慮しているのは、旧福野町という田舎町でお店を経営しているからでしょう。
澄んだ魚介類のスープの塩ラーメンが断然おすすめのラーメン店です。
ただ昨今流行りの豚骨や背油などの濃厚なラーメンではありません。
そんなラーメンが好きな方には少し物足りないかも。

This restaurant has an English menu card. You can eat gibier meals at reasonable prices.
Best selling meal is a Kumadon(¥1,100), a bear rice bowl .
I recommend a Kumanabe(¥1,700 ; large ¥2,000) , a bear meal served hot in a pot. These Japanese foods will give you a happy time.

Visited this place via the Kaetsuno World Heritage Bus from my accommodation. Takes around 5-10 minutes to walk to from the bus stop (budget longer if there's snow).
My SO and I were the only guests in this part-residence, part-restaurant premises during lunch hour (heavy snow probably didn't help). Chose the Gorobei Gozen (set) for 2,160 JPY, whereas my SO had soba and tofu (around 1,500 JPY). English menu provided so there's no love lost if you don't speak Japanese.
The tofu hotplate was clearly a highlight - served with bonito flakes, an egg, and a very appetizing brown sauce. Rest of the items were generally ordinary, but the nice and warm premises, rustic/peaceful environment definitely left a deep impression on me.
Service is cordial but we were largely left to our own - proprietor was tending to his household work.
Not cheap - spent ~5,000 JPY for and a couple of desserts (Matsuya in Ainokura offers much more value for money), but given the remote location, quality/quantity of food, and the ambience and customer traffic, I'd say everything checks out. Worth a visit.
