Restaurant Chez Julien

We've been dining there quite a lot this year and have NEVER once been disappointed. Their menu changes regularly and they put effort and hard work in their menu each time. All their dishes are always savory and complexed and service is quite exceptional. We just moved 5 minutes away and couldn't be happier!
Highly recommend this little gem!

Villa Massimo Restaurant

Reviewed By MontrealLouis007 - Montreal

Villa Massimo is a well established restaurant that offers a traditional Italian experience. The décor is very old-school, with bottles of wine and memorabilia covering every inch of the place. Service is impeccable and the wine is extensive, but expensive. BUT, I've been twice in a year and do not intend to go back because both times, we were very disappointed with our meals. The fish and the veal we had were sub-par and below expectations. Hence, for an expensive meal, Villa Massimo fell short again.

Sushi Yasu

Service always with a smile and high quality. Of interest, they also give you seaweed to eat as well as ginger, and this was interesting as the taste is different. A nice variation.
All the rolls and sashimi were excellent.
Only different thing was the scallop sashimi was creamy, and we prefer the spicy variation. This one I liked less than usual, but I guess it's their take on it.
Would/Will go there again.

Nice hall for a group breakfast. We were 30 people and the selection and service was excellent. This has now become our "go-to" place for our extended family. My wife and I went back to try their regular dinner menu and we were again, pleasantly surprised. Excellent all around.

Chez Monique

Reviewed By JimmyMTL - Montreal, Canada

This is not high-society eating. This is poutine: fries, cheese curds, and brown sauce (gravy) and hot dogs, hamburgers, etc.
First: the poutine is great - if you need poutine and you're on the south shore, Monique has you covered.
Second: the toasties are properly prepared: the hot dogs are grilled and the buns are toasted on the grill as well - condiments are generously and evenly disbursed.
Third: the grilled cheese is a hamburger bun with cheese in the middle - in my opinion, a grilled cheese should have bread toasted on the grill, not a crusty burger bun - I won't order again
The staff are very friendly and the cantine atmosphere is as authentic as it gets.

Bistro l'Alsacien

Reviewed By Danielle D - Munich, Germany

We are originally from Québec, currently live in Europe and frequently travel to France. L'Alsace is the closest French region for us, so we have had plenty of opportunities to sample their delicious traditional food.
During our visit back in our homeland in July, we invited friends to the Bistro l'Alsacien in the hope of giving them a taste of the region. We were not disappointed with the menu which mixes traditional food from Alsace with a touch of Québec culture.
We recommended to our friends that they try a Flammekueche ("tarte flambée" or litterally "cake baked in flames") since it is one of our alsacian favorite. We found it a bit too burnt for our taste, but it seemed quite authentic.
I took the menu with a "Caille aux cerises" (Cherry Quail), which was delicious.
Add to that a friendly and competent service and a very nice summer Terrace, so I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

We were taking our kids to have an Indian meal for the first time.
Our server was super generous and patient in providing many details on the menu, on Indian culture and even provided samples of different plates.
He recommended a group diner and it was great, we tried many plates and everyone had a great experience.

Siam Restaurant Thai

Lovely outing in a super modern, airy and pleasant restaurant. Everything was impeccable and the food was very tasty and attractively presented. Our waitress, Elizabeth was fantastic; she knew the menu inside out and went out of her way to help us with our choices. Unfortunately, it was her last day on the job. No matter where she goes,
I am sure she will succeed and be well liked and appreciated. All in all, a relaxing, pleasant experience.

Everything tastes great at this restaurant, from the coffees to their mouth watering sandwiches. I had a vegetarian Sandwich made with whole grain bread with walnuts and pistachios in it, inside the Sandwich there was pesto, red pepper, eggplant and goat cheese, just amazing. I would definitely go back to try their other sandwiches.
