The population was 11,926 at the 2010 census, up from 10,497 at the 2000 census.

Was a hard place to find, no signage to get there. Our server was Sadie. She was great, took the time to explain our questions about the menu. She very attentive to our table and had good suggestion for eats. We had the calamari strips with both the cocktail sauce and the marinara sauce. Did not know until we back to motel, but was charged for both sauces. Thought they came with the calamari. Service was great and the food was excellent. We will go there again for lunch.

Hoppy's FroYo is a "build your own creation" yogurt bar. We offer 8 FroYo flavors including both a no sugar added and a non-dairy selection whenever possible. Our extensive topping choices include fruit, nuts, cheesecake bites, cookie dough, lots of chocolate and gummi candy offerings, syrups, hot fudge, fresh waffle cone, whipped cream and sprinkles. Price is based on weight. We also have delicious milk shakes, hearty soups, salads, sammies and hot and cold drinks. Hoppy's has a great family atmosphere. It is casual, clean and the staff is super friendly. We feature local artist displays on our brightly colored walls. We have a party room available for rent which is great for Birthday Parties, Team Parties, or community club meetings. Call 682-6187 for details. Gift certificates are available for purchase. Hoppy's FroYo has frequent specials listed on Facebook. We also offer a stamp card program.

A nice treat on Main Street. A small street front store with booth seating. Self service to about a dozen flavors of yogurt and lots of topping choices. Bottled soft drinks are available. Friendly staff collects your payment based on the weight of your combined yogurt and toppings. Dining area and restrooms are clean.

Ridge Top Cafe is right off Hwy 101 on the way to Ferndale. The restaurant is adorable; vintage old photos, country decor, wood floors with an old fashioned eating bar. The service is friendly and fairly quick, depending on how busy they are. They offer a delicious selection of breakfast and lunch choices that are available all day. Also there is a coffee bar that makes speciality drinks and delicious pastries, cookies and muffins.
I have been there a total of three times and haven't been disappointed...it's definitely worth the stop.

Unfortunately we arrive late for our reservation but the hostess was most accommodating and we had a table in a few minutes. Delicious salads and a very good steak with Marsala mushroom sauce. Disappointing pasta with pesto. Yummy dessert of tiny cream puffs with ice cream. Excellent service and very reasonable corkage of $10.

I really didn't care for the flies I side the restaurant and around our take.
I ordered a pancake, and I asked if they are sweet or not Because I Don't like too sweet pancakes. Her response was that No They are not, just don't use syrup on them. So I ordered and Guess what? They were sprinkled with Sugar Powder all over!! Didn't eat them, couldn't just too artificially sweet.
I didn't care much for the lack of attention. And IMO The place is charging too much for a simple coffee for a dinner style breakfast place.
Flies + didn't like my order + expensive coffee = 3 stars bcoz of the staff.
Staff, we're polite and attentive

Checked TripAdvisor and found this restaurant in Fortuna while spending the night nearby. Steak sounded good but when we got there they had so much more. In fact, we had so much food, we took much of it back to the hotel and had dinner...MoreThank you very much! So happy you enjoyed your dining experience at Double Ds! I will definately share this with Val as well! ?

My "go to" splurge drink. I don't get coffee drinks often, but when I do I go to Jitter Bean. I like the coffee and the service. Even when they are busy, they are friendly and will make suggestions if I want to try something new. They do sell a few baked items to go with their drinks, but I have never tried anything. Coffee is all I've been after. Like them much better than Starbucks.

We were making a long trip down the West Coast. During our Brooking OR to Fort Bragg CA we saw several signs to 'Visit Historic Ferndale CA'. I got suckered in to getting off the highway to see this historic town. I am so glad we did! It took about 15 minutes to get to the historic town from the highway and I was getting nervous I was wasting precious daylight. When we arrived to the town we were so glad we took the detour. This town is old and charming and there is a really neat old cemetery on the south side of town. There was limited food options but this place was a great place to grab a bite to eat. I would like to go back to this town and spend a couple of days exploring!

We lived in Tokyo and eschew American versions of sushi in favor of traditional dishes. I had the braised eel on rice which was excellent; the sauce was perfect, the eel tender, and the rice cooked perfectly. My wife had the mixed tempura; crisp, light, and made with a variety of tasty vegetables. Service was attentive and professional.
