Best restaurant visited in the town. Really great food & friendly service. Good bar. Easy to get taxi to/from restaurant (<10 mins wait) Only improvement is the wine list which needs an overhaul. Not that extensive and its not easy to understand their categorizations.

It is rare these days to find a restaurant that is not only great in all departments but extremely reasonably priced. For a start the atmosphere created in the old Bond Store is wonderful and welcoming as are the staff. The food is all fresh from local suppliers who are credited on the menu. Great starters, superb main courses and wonderful desserts.
No fancy designer dishes here, good honest beautifully cooked food served on sparkling white China. For starters deep fried brie, seafood chowder, crabmeat and smoked salmon stack are among the tasty offerings. The main courses range from steak, handmade beef burgers that put fast food to shame, duck two ways and tempura battered fish and chips with fresh cod in huge portions and even superb curries. Desserts include crepes, apple and berry crumble, cheesecake of the day all priced less than €5. The whole menu is outstanding value. Good reasonable wine list and great Guinness. It shows it can be done at a price that will not break the bank. In fact it was so good one dining companion queried if they had left something off the bill it was so reasonable! The toilet facilities are absolutely spotless and it is a great place to go for an enjoyable evening. It makes you wonder why others cannot produce menus of this standard at such reasonable prices. Absolutely fabulous and I will be returning often.

Although small the pub is typically Irish and as expected serves an excellent pint of the black stuff. Spent a week in Enniscrone and ate at the Pilot Bar on three occasions because the food was so good. Best sirloin steak I've had for a long long time. Top chef and very friendly staff. Would recommend the Pilot Bar to anyone visiting Enniscrone and surrounds.

Brennan's Lane Bar & Restaurant

Brennan’s Lane is in the heart of Ballina, on the evocatively named Garden Street. From outside it looks quite small, but this is deceiving as it stretches way back and is actually huge. It has an almost Tardis quality in the amount of space inside. Downstairs is the bar, where some pretty serious gigs take place while you will find the restaurant on the first floor. The dining room is beautifully designed and features exposed brick walls, cool sofa seats, plenty of well spaced tables and chairs and some interesting art, as well as a series of old style butchers blackboards showing farm animals and the parts the different cuts of meat come from. The room is long and fairly narrow, but well thought out design means it feels light and airy, and the open plan kitchen at one end adds to the sense of space. It is modern and elegant, warm and inviting. Description from Taste of Ireland by Paolo Tullio

A group of us, 4 adults and 7 children ate in Brennan's lane bar and restaurant for the first time today. The restaurant located upstairs is clean, cosy and nicely decorated. The Sunday lunch menu had a nice selection and wasn't overly priced. The children's food came first which was good. Only complaint, the restaurant had wha seemed only 1 waitress, we were waiting a long time to get ketchup. The waitress was over worked and restaurant could've done with more waiting staff. Having said that, the food was so so tasty and one of the nicest Sunday lunches I've had in a long time. I look forward to returning to Brennan's Lane bar and restaurant.
