Really beautiful setting with a real wood burning fireplace set us up for a great dining experience. We were very disappointed in the quality of the service as well as the taste of the food. My husband had stuffed chicken which was tough, dry and chewy. I had the duck which was under cooked despite asking for it to be prepared medium. Squash ravioli was bland and doughy. Brussel sprouts were under cooked on the inside and burned on the outside. The wine was good, but the food was a disappointment.

Very close to hotel, an easy walk. It was very clean and the people there were efficient. It was cleaner than most Dairy Queens I have visited.. If in the area would stop by again

Took my wife there for her Birthday. We had never been, but had passed by it once. We live about 1 hour north in Va from Dobson Nc. The place is very nice on the outside as you pull in. The grounds are Beautiful. As we came inside we where greated by the staff and guided to one of the eating areas, we chose the 1st one on the right with the bar area. Was Immediately waited on by Destini. We exsplained we had not been there before so she exsplianed everything to us and taking our drink order, giving us time to look over the menu.She pointed out some favorites. We then ordered the Ribyeye which was great, very tender and cooked they way we had asked. the sides where also very good. The place filled up quickly and our waitress never slowed from checking on us and keeping our drinks toped off. I would highly recomend this resturant to anyone that is considering going there. You will not be disapointed. We will be back.

My husband myself and another couple hiked stone mt and had intentions of going to shelton. We decided to stop and try Herrera spontaneously. We were very impressed with the staff. The bartender did a wonderful job discribing the wines and making us feel at home. The atmosphere was very pleasant with lawn chairs, corn hole and fire pits. Much better experience here than we had at shelton. I can see why their rating is great. Wish we had stayed longer. We will be back.

My wife and I went here for dinner since its across the parking lot from our hotel. The service was great, even though the place was pretty full, and the food was wonderful. I had a chicken dish that was cooked perfectly with fresh vegetables. I guess we weren't expecting much, but the restaurant was very reasonable for the price.

Just a little country diner with home cooked food. Locals hang out here. Very reasonably priced, daily specials and quick service. I would bet that it is family owned. We had a cheeseburger and meatloaf special. Hit the spot just right!

Never the same cook for extended period. Food is bland and not exciting. Servers seem to be in a hurry most of the time. If hungry then this would satisfy your appetite but not a place to look forward to for a meal or going out of your way.

I eat here on a regular basis and Sue's has some of the best homestyle southern dishes I've ever tasted. The specials vary daily and I've never had one I didn't enjoy!
