The population was 52,088 in 2016, up from 38,824 in 2000. It is Kern County's second largest city after Bakersfield.

Time service and attitudes of employees are not typical of Starbucks. This is the worst Starbucks we have ever visited, and will not return. Just because this location is freeway-close, don't bother. I can I understand being busy, but when everyone who ordered after you had already received their drinks and you are still waiting, then when asked, they make excuses instead of apologizing that they forgot to start your drink, this is simply inexcusable.

Stopped by on our way back from Fresno on a Friday evening. We were lucky to get a table as the place was busy. Really good food and reasonable prices. We tried different items sopes, Chile verde burrito, enchilada, rice, beans and chips and salsa. While these are not fancy dishes by any means, the food was amazing. Everything was made just right and the presentation was really good. The place is a basic restaurant and it reminded me of restaurants you find while driving through Mexico. Service was good and will definitely go back.

Donut shops are pretty much like McDonalds. You go to one in New York and you can basically expect a similar product at another one in Washington. Well, I don't quite know how Donuts To Go does it, but their donuts are out of this world. Their glazed and cake donuts are flavorful with just enough frosting and glazing. Yet that's not what sets their donuts apart from the rest. Maybe it's that their donuts are fried in different oil or maybe they're fried twice or maybe there's some other trick they know that no other place we've been to knows about. They are just crispy enough on the outside and yet so very soft on the inside. We travel to the Delano area a few times each year and these donuts are always a must. If only they'd share their donut secrets with a shop closer to our home...

This place has a good breakfast menu...I ordered a scramble...eggs, peppers, cheese, and onions and it was quite tasty. The biscuit accompaning it was big and very tender...hash browns were nice and crispy. Service was nice. The only problem was that the prices seemed higher than normal for a breakfast like this...I expected the cost of my breakfast to be a few dollars cheaper than it was.

Quaint place in an area that might be tough at nite. Has carne asada burrito plate it was OK another had enchiladas he said were good. Another ordered bean and cheese burro cheese wasn't melted . Service better than food.

On a motorcycle ride and stopped for the night in Delano, CA. I asked at my hotel where I could get a good dinner. The clerk suggested Magoo's Pizza about a block away. I walked over to a strip mall and found the place. Ordered at the counter (Meat pizza with garlic sauce instead of red sauce) and waited in the bar. The Giants game was on the TV, a bonus. The pizza took a little long even considering they were busy. It was more than worth the wait! It was piping hot and delicious.
They are a handful of pizza places in Delano (three other independents and the usual chains) and I would not hesitate to say Magoo's has them all beat! Give them a try, I beat you will be glad.
As I am writing this, I want to drive 4+ hours just to have another pie! Oh well, time to start planning the next road trip.

I mostly ordered for my room and they messed up the order all the time, but the food was pretty decent. Interior atmosphere is typical Asian..never got to try the buffet, but heard it wasn't bad. Service was decent...depending on what day you went. Fridays and Saturdays could be a rough gig as it seemed they never had enough servers

On the road can quite often be somewhat of a mixed blessing. Was not expecting much when I stumbled onto this gem. Pulled over, looked at my Tripadvisor app and Oishi was 200' away.
Sushi was very fresh and well prepared, as was the teriyaki bowl, The people couldn't have been nicer.

Varied Menu- Pho, Variety of fried rice, steamed vegetables, something for everyone !
Parking in back or in the side parking lot. Clean restaurant. Friendly Service.
I ordered the Garlic Shrimp- so GOOD !!Also ordered the Fried Rice with everything- really large portions- plenty to share!
Quick detour off the 99 if you are traveling between LA and parts North of Bakersfield
