We live locally but hadn't been to the Palmwood since new owners took over and after going last week we won't be back anytime soon! In the past you had to wait for a table on the patio but this wasn't the case last week, it seems the customers have gone somewhere else.
The service was good but the food was very mediocre. The prices have increased and the food quality has decreased.
The thing going for the Palmwood is the location looking out on Lake Erie but the hard plastic seats are very uncomfortable. I ended up with a numb rear end!

Family friendly restaurant , excellent food , good value and large portions. They have roast beef, chicken, ham, liver, fish, sandwiches,salads, soup, desserts just to name a few things on the menu.
Be prepared to wait at least 30 minutes on weekends , it is a very popular restaurant. It is worth the wait.
The atmosphere is friendly and family run, the decor is dated but doesn't effect the experience.

It was pretty busy on a snowy weeknight. I like the tea coming with a separate pot of hot water. A nice and appreciated detail.
We ordered a burger and a baked fish plate. The burger was okay, nothing too exciting. The fish was over cooked and accompanied by boiled frozen veg. A boring dish that wouldn’t take much to improve, but improvement it needs.
Service by Shannon was friendly and the best part of a the experience.

We've ordered from Mabels a few times. When we are at the cottage it is nice to do some take out pizza and have a movie night with the family. Kids love their pepperoni pizza. It's not the cheapest pizza you will find, but I don't think it is overly expensive either - reasonable price for the quality. We'll keep going back as the pizza is quite tasty.

Had heard of The Crystal Chandelier so thought we would take it in and spent an enjoyable evening. Originally a garage. the conversion was well done with a chandelier theme throughout. Not a large place but ample room for small parties or a romantic dinner. The menu has a good variety of starters, mains, sides and desserts. Our meal arrived as ordered, hot and lip smacking good. Our waitress very friendly and eager to answer all questions. There is also an ample bar for your drink orders. We arrived on a Thursday evening when a Coffee House open mike entertainment venue was on. If you so desire bring your guitar or simply stand up to a mike and participate in a sing song with the regular artists. Much fun.

❤️️❤️️❤️️This is the best breakfast in all of South Niagara. The food is so great and worth the wait. The customers are usually standing out the door on weekends. There are plenty of options. They do have a lunch menu during the weekdays that is yummy too. I always love their homemade soups and homemade kettle chips. My favourite breakfast is the Eggs Benedict! The staff is always friendly. I wish they were open for dinner too.

We went for lunch and had the best fried chicken ever.
I have read the other reviews and you have to consider that when you are ordering ice cream, they also sell chicken - best chicken ever.
The owner was so nice. We had never been there before and would certainly go again. Order the chicken first and then have ice cream for dessert.

The ambiance is great for a small restaurant, that only serves breakfast and lunch. Maria and her staff are lovely, friendly. Service is good, food is delicious. You have to experience Maria’s for yourself. I would rather go there for breakfast than any other restaurant in the area.
