10 soles will get you an omelett or breat butter marmelade. Fruit juice is big and tasty. Coffee rather mediocre.

For the past couple of years I have spent perhaps 20 days in Caraz and have eaten about 80% of my meals at La Terraza. They have great lunch specials at under 10 soles (3 dollars US) and a good cup of espresso as well. My favorite breakfast is the "frutas especial" that is a huge goblet of mixed fresh fruit, a sprinkling of granola, and honey on top. Fabulous!

We had a couple of lunches here. It has a diverse menu of local fare. Most of the customers are local. The food is very good and the portions are very generous, including the drinks. It 's very reasonably priced. Not a place to eat if you're in a hurry. Otherwise, I highly recommend this restaurant, particularly if you're hungrier than usual.

My husband and I live nearby, and we have been here many times; mostly for the pollo broaster they serve in the evenings, but occasionally for their lunch menu. They recently relocated to a new place very near their old location, and decorated it nicely; no longer is just stark with cement floors.

O restaurante fica distante do centro de Caraz, é necessário tomar um mototáxi (tipo tuc tuc) para chegar ao mesmo. O local é agradável e a comida também. Já o atendimento.... tem que ter paciência. Se estiver na cidade...... acho que vale a pena um almoço!

The service is warm and friendly, quite clean and the ratio service/cost we all agree was right. The free wi-fi they offer gave us time dnough to plan ouf days ahead. Highly reccommended.

By Peru standards, the pizza here is pretty good. Good selection of toppings. The desserts are terrific. The service is really great and friendly. Conveniently located near the plaza. This is a good choice if you're looking for pizza or simply want to grab dessert.

Walking around Caraz we decided to try a food over there.
The shop/waiting area is clean, nicely decorated and comfortable, making the short wait for your food a pleasure.
The staff are welcoming helpful and polite. Seems very busy/popular with hikers, travellers, and plenty of friends.
Food is very good, full of flavour, and portion sizes are generous.
We tried breakfast, lunch and dinner. All good and tasty.
Question if it's expensive is disputable: for Peru it's middle range, for gringos it's still cheap.
Will be trying it again one day. Never say good bye ...
