We were pleasantly surprised by this find- the place has a very creative menu with some sophisticated Mexican dishes. The food was delicious. Even the wine list was decent (local wines only). It has a beautiful central courtyard and a nice dinning room facing Bernal's plaza. We even had a music trio serenading. Overall superb experience.

Food was prepared perfectly and served by attentive staff who most spoke English and wanted to practice. Quiet restaurant with a well coordinated kitchen staff, every dish was perfectly prepated and all served at appoximately the same time. Extensive menu serving any dish all day.

On a day excursion to Tequisquiapan and Bernal, we stopped at this attractive spot in Caldereyta de Montes for lunch. We were served with a large variety of local/Mexican dishes. The food was good, and the service (which included the preparation of a customized sauce) was friendly and attentive.

My fiance ordered the salmon quesadilla and loved it so much, he ordered another! I had a delicious salad with nopales (cactus). The servings here are not very large and are a bit on the lighter fare side, so if you're hungry, plan on ordering an appetizer as well as an entree or two. Our server was very attentive and the atmosphere was fun and hip.

Mexican and international cuisine, the tables are in the courtyard of the old hacienda building. Beautiful spot for an outdoor lunch.

Poco servicio e inexperto y lento, de comida fuera de pizzas y quesos no hay gran cosa, lo malo es que los quesos no me encantaron y las pizzas pues.. están bien, solamente.

Un pequeño local frente al jardín principal de Cadereyta de Montes alberga esta fonda o cocina económica. Excelente comida a precios económicos y trato amable. La comida incluye, además del plato principal, sopa, agua y postre. Pedimos una cecina estilo Cadereyta (sazonada con naranja) y una chimichanga de res. En nuestra visita a este pueblo mágico nos dimos cuenta que mucha gente del pueblo acude al lugar como clientela recurrente, lo cual confirma nuestra percepción de que es una muy buena opción también para el turista que quiere comer rico y a buen precio.

Un lugar pequeño pero con un pulque y unas margaritas deliciosas. Recomendado al 100%. Está en camino al jardín botánico de Cadereyta, por lo que después de caminar ahí hay que pasar a refrescarse con una miche a la Rocka.

Our gastronomic experience there, was A-MA-ZING.
This is definitely the restaurant to go when you visit Bernal.
The place is cosy and the waiters'attention is great.
The chef is more than qualified and the originality of his dishes cannot be discussed. We visited and revisited Mexico through the flavors of the menu which give a fantastic mix.
The menu is limited but it guarantees us the freshness of the ingredients.
The dishes are featured in an original way.
We loved the pizzas as starter with its original and curious paste, we enjoyed the revisited merluza and the risotto al Chile poblano and... the crème brûlée as dessert served with rhubarb jam with a light taste of Provençal herbs...Yuuuuummy!
We recommend!!!

Our favorite restaurant in this area. It is immaculate, staff is well trained and friendly, and most important, the food is excellent. Expect a little bit of a wait because everything is made when you order it...no microwaved frozen stuff here.
