Fantastic food, good coffee and fantastic baked goods.
The Diva fry was brilliant, I would generally be less than impressed to see salad in my Irish breakfast but I would make an exception for this.
On an unrelated note there is a fantastic children's playground just around the corner.

We have not being here in a while, so the four of us decided we would eat here last Saturday. It was still the same. Nothing had changed much, nor did we want it to. It has a lovely atmosphere and the owner and staff are very attentive and freindley. .We ordered all different meals and they were all great. We definitely won't leave too long before we return.

We discovered this Bar/Restaurant some years ago, when home on holiday, and since retiring we have visited at least once every couple of months, I did'nt review it for fear of jinxing it. however we had lunch there again today and my choice of warm chicken and prawn salad was as good as i'd remembered it, although i was torn between it and the sausage and mash which used to be my lunch dish of choice. The staff are friendly and on the ball and the cost is on a par with other lunch spots around the city, despite being in one of the most visited tourist spots in Ireland, a big plus from my point of view

Great portions, staff are very accommodating and friendly. Great value in their early bird menu, the portions are very generous and you definitely get your value for money! The selection of starters is delicious and very big, filled me up before my main course. My main course was massive but they put it in a takeaway box for me so I was able to enjoy it again the next day!

A peat fire welcomes you in this comfortable country pub. The food, served in a separate restaurant area, is delicious. Wagyu bavette steak, wood pigeon, local seafood, steaks - all perfectly cooked and no shortage either! Blair's has an interesting wine list, carefully selected. Service was friendly and efficient. Highly recommended and I hope I go back soon.

I visited the Plaza Bistro last week..in time for the lunch menu..served from 12 noon to 3pm.I got a warm welcome from Mary..and the choice on the menu was excellent for lunch..most dishes under €10..high quality tasty food.I opted for the protein potato with chicken and cheese..delicious..I visit the Plaza once a week when I can..The choices are wonderful..pizza..burgers. chicken..pasta..and lovely calzones..The choice of desserts are excellent, and are displayed in tiered glass case!
The salad bar area with its
pyramid -glass covering is filled with a wonderful variety of salad choices.
The atmosphere is so relaxing here..and all staff so friendly and helpful..
The Reel Cinema is just opposite The Plaza..and an ideal place to have a meal before or after a movie.
All groups..parties catered for..and a Take-Away service is also available.
I can't recommend The Plaza Bistro highly enough..especially if visiting Ballincollig for first time.
Top marks all around!

Nice comfortable setting with spacious tables and a decent enough menu for what it is. I chose the ribs which were advertised as being smothered with a barbecue sauce, however when they eventually arrived the sauce actually ruined the dish by being anything but barbecue and contained far to much of an unadvertised chilli base. The ribs themselves were a good sized portion served with fries and a coleslaw which also had far to much pepper within it. The person I was with had a warm black pudding salad which they enjoyed very much.
To be fair to this establishment I didn't return the dish which I normally would, as I really dislike chilies and instead attempted to scrape off the sauce, however in my defence the menu didn't mention chilies and time constraints were a concern.
To be absolutely fair to all concerned some of the dishes being served to the tables around me looked pretty good so I think you have got to be lucky or indeed maybe unlucky with your choice of fair.
Service could be better as we had to attract the attention of the waiter to be served and thereafter the food took quite a long time to materialise.
All in all I would return, but would question the menu extensively prior to my choice.

Ordered Burgers, Breast in bun, chicken tenders, and sausage supper, all excellent, only gripe was the chips! The chips were disappointing, very crispy, burnt, not a decent chip in the packs. I have got take away from the Fry previously and I might have just got unlucky this time!
