The food was nice and properly prepared, the atmosphere was excellent. I enjoyed a romantic dinner there with my husband on a special day for us. The waitress was very nice and attentive. The price made all above very normal! The soup tasted nice for few bites, but then it gets a bit too salty for us. The creme brulee was lukewarm, good balance between the bitter top and the sweet part below. We paid quite amount of money, but we enjoyed it!

Looking for a wonderful meal? We have both set menues and ala carte menues suitable for everyone. Local produce is essential in all our cooking, and we are more than happy to tell you the story of every ingredient. Beautiful surroundings, peaceful and enjoyable Gardens by the waterside of "Nidelva". Take a walk in the garden before or after your meal, enjoy a glass of sparkeling as the sun goes down, or maybe one of the beers from our local brewery "Nøgne Ø". Come by boat, car or horse if you wish!We are open regardless of the weather as we have seeting inside and outside. Open everyday in from 30th of June until 28th of July. Open all year around for pre booked parties.

The place is situated at the river with evening sun. Wenche and her team are preparing tasty, short travelled and attracting food. We had tapas, which were delightful. Service is very good. Relaxed with a mixture of furniture and a little balcony at the back. Food was tasty. a real mixture of different people. Interesting art on display as it is an Art galley. Just climb the old stairs.

I am not sure if he owns the place, but he was so cheerful and so ready to serve you a great meal:) It was a good experience having dinner at their place. We tried something we never tried before, feta cheese coated with sesame and some nuts. It was interesting and yummy.

As the saying goes; "when in Rome, do like the Romans"; a piece of advice relevant for finding a good meal with value for money. Well, applying that in Arendal, will take you to "Gørr Go Mad". They serve very good healty everyday food at a reasonable price in a homely atmosphere. It is not the place with expensive wine on the menu, but you wont miss it anyhow. This is "home cooking" at its best.
Gørr Go Mad is located in a formerly diary industrial building well outside the city centre - so the challenge for an outsider is to find it and get there. But if you can handle that, it is worth the bother. Yes, it is!

The Menu No.33, it tasted amazing! The texture of the beef and the taste was great! It's the best restaurant for working class people. I am a working class myself.

Vegan café serving 'allergy-friendly' foods (lots of nuts though, but that can easily be worked around) in the shape of soups and salads and stews etc and bread dishes + quick bites/snacks, as well as raw cakes - 124 sorts of teas. And other delicious hot beverages.

This is nice place with refreshing interior, cozy atmosphere and cute staff. But unfortunately we could order or thai soup or vegetable stew with lentils. Could be great go have a choice:)Glad you liked our venue and us - sorry to hear that the menu was not of your liking, we change today's dishes a couple times a week so theres a variety over time :) Welcome back another day!

The location is great, jus next door to the sea. Unfortunately the food is below average. I have never understood that the Tyholmen hotel does not make a priority of serving high quality meals. We were so disappointed!

We went to this place only for the amazing baked icecream. It is the most expensive icecream ever, but it taste like heaven!
