Dissatisfied and underwhelming stay not a child friendly resort
Reviewed By travelbarbie3A really disappointing experience after travelling to Abu Dhabi many times we left feeling very deflated at the standards within this hotel. To start with the room was extremely old worn and could do with a full refurb, the food in the buffet restaurant was terrible we aren’t fussy but this food is not up to standard it was cold, unaccommodating for children, flys all around at breakfast, it was so very busy no room to move. We tried this restaurant for breakfast lunch and dinner before we made the decision to increase the cost of our trip and upgrade to super all inclusive who knew this even existed but yep for more money you get nice food so consider this before booking and a clean highchair (something that really annoyed me buffet restaurant high chairs weren’t cleaned in the other restaurants they came cling wrapped and freshly cleaned) the other restaurants were ok on first try but it felt like the second visit nobody really cared service was terrible pretty much everywhere apart from the steak restaurant which was lovely highly recommended this one. Everything felt too much for the staff the answer was often no without even trying to find the answer or accommodate the request. Service on the beach was particularly bad. Finished food left to be destroyed by the birds and thrown all over the beach. My biggest problem with this hotel is it is marketed as child friendly hence the reason we choose and the baby pool on the roof is covered in bird poo in the water and all round the sides which I’m my one year old was trying to touch it was revolting and so unhygienic also the smell was terrible of drains by the kids side also I was seriously concerned but the state of the pool the number of broken parts and holes when it’s for small children to use see the photos taken on our last day as this never got cleaned up for the full duration of our stay over 10 days?! the kids pool in the beach area also had issues a part of the suction in the pool had come off and almost sucked his hand straight in which could of been so dangerous the life guard one in particular with attitude was so very unhelpful and unwilling to do anything. Also the view of the building site and constant noise wasn’t very relaxing on the beach. This kind of sums up our experience and this hotel does not compare in any way to some of the neighbouring hotels which are amazing and we now realise the high standard they keep. Try Etihad towers if in doubt you won’t be disappointed. On a positive the gym was good and well equipped. Lobby coffee bar was nice and staff there were helpful.

What I dislike there’s no good swimming pool maximum depth is 1.4m only !!! Reviewed By patelv27We stayed 5 nights, butler service was fantastic koko was amazing and nothing was too much. Pool was nice and service was excellent. Dinner was great in the buffet also tried the thai and buddha bar which were good and plenty of options. Was child friendly we went with out 6m old and staff were very helpful.

The "butler" servce offered nothing xtra as othr hotel with a butler does for example tea/coffee, pressing servce, etc. Staff call it the 2nd 7 Star hotel in UAE, officially its 5star. I found the general atmosphere abit cold but perhaps that could hav been afforded to there not being any families with kids around as well so evrything seemed quite formal

Reviewed By HernanLSWe, family of four, stayed for five days using two connecting rooms. Rooms very conformable, bathroom roomy, and generally in excellent conditions. One fo the rooms had a faulty window that let extra street noise in. Facilities are great, swimming pool and gym. Catering was excellent. Staff professional and very nice. The private beach is small, but it was generally not crowded. Swimming pools are very good. However, on one day the towels provided smelled bad. One night our eldest daughter felt sick. The next morning the restaurant manager (Sanjeeva) came to the table to ask how she felt and offering any help needed. We thought that it was uncommonly courteous and made us feel happy.

So great, we’ve extended our stay!
Reviewed By famfeidnerWell this could be an extremely long description with everything going on, but let me give you a short summary: we had booked 9 days and it was so great at the hotel that we spontaneously extended our stay by two days while being there! We had a rough start, arrived late night and the booked beach villa wasn’t available. Of course we were very disappointed, to say at least. We learned later that this wasn’t the hotels fault or not to influence, but that didn’t matter for us of course. Next day I had the pleasure to meet the hotel manager to discuss our matter as early as possible and they came up with multiple options for us to solve the problem. We agreed on a good option and moved into another villa on the beach. Wow! So nice to have a villa with your own pool and to be able to look over the beach and also walk there in 3min. The villas are a fantastic spot, absolutely recommendable. Go for it! The whole hotel is great, in good shape and the service is exceptional. All over, everywhere. Most recommendable is the turtle bay restaurant, namely Deepak, who remembered us and always made us feel like home, and also the breakfast restaurant staff, but really nobody in the hotel fell short at all. Another great thing was the concierge group that drove us home with the little club cars at night - the kids loved it, so they did “tours” for them through the whole hotel with it (when no one else was waiting for them) - lovely!! Our booking came with the butler service, we were able to ask everything via WhatsApp and get responses and deliveries asap. It was a real blast and Akash made our stay simply fantastic and unforgettable. The kids did get extra service and felt like little king and queen. As mentioned, we had a rough start, but the hotel staff did everything to let us forget it - and we did. I can also only praise the manager who personally invested a lot of time and effort into this. And that service, the great food, an overall fantastic hotel and our outstanding villa made us decide to extend the stay by two days and even rebook our flights. We will come back with certainty!
