Jacobo is an excellent travel guide and driver who provided impeccable service picking us up from Lyons airport and driving to San Miguel. We ended up hiring him to drive us from San Miguel to Guanajuato, doing some sightseeing on the way. He was very attentive, on time and communicated very well about all the details of the trip. Would highly recommend his services if you’re planning to visit this area.

The tour of Coyoacán will take place in a very picturesque area of the neighborhood, we will walk among cobbled alleys, volcanic stone constructions and old houses in a colonial environment full of nature and province airs. You will understand why this area fell in love with its first settlers and the Spaniards to found the first city council in the Valley of Mexico: Coyoacán. In addition to why the Spanish from this point planned the attack on the great Tenochtitlan. We will tell pre-Hispanic legends and stories, colonial among others. From the pre-Hispanic we will talk about Mexican omens, visions or prophecies (also called Aztecs) that supposed the arrival of the Spaniards from many years before. Route so original, that even many people who have lived in the area all their lives, have been surprised.

Fantastic large caves putside of Taxco, Guerrero, Mexico. Got there with GF by rental car. At the entrance is a parking lot with some vendors. You have to pay some extra for parking. Recommend having fresh coconut milk from coconut sold by a vendor there. Cheap (cash only), very refreshing. Some vendors take credit card. Only water permitted in the caves. Thr caves are breathtaking. My GF suffers from claustrophobia but did not have a problem here as the caves are massive. You go in with a group from the entrance with a guide. If you know a bit of cave terminology, a bit of Spanish, a bit of christian iconography, you will understand most of what the guide says (ours only spoke in Spanish). You can later walk around on your own and exit on your own. Guide points out some unusual cave formations highlighted by a guide control ligting system that you would otherwise miss. Recommend bringing a good flash light if you want to exit at your own pace. All the walking is on a well maintained designated path. Well worth the visit. Located 20-30 minutes from Taxco where we stayed for a couple of nights.

We booked this tour based on it's itinerary and reviews. We do enjoy an occasional private tour. We were picked up on time at our hotel. Veronica was our guide and was amazing. We went to a flower market before getting on the floating boat. The ride was lovely. Veronica told us a lot about the city it's history and culture. We went to the Diego Rivera museum which is amazing. Then to the Coyocan market where we grabbed a bite to eat and have some free time. Then the Frida Kahlo museum which is a must see. The driver was excellent, smoothly guiding us around the city. We also stopped at the University which wads fascinating. Veronica is very proud of her city and it shows. Her energy and enthusiasm were palpable. The price for what you get is a real bargain. Highly recommend
