A private "one bubble tour" with a seasoned guide is the best way to make the most of your time in Monteverde.  It provides flexibility of timing, duration, and trail choice. This option is great for anyone who would like a more personal touch than a standard group tour.  Also great for families with children! We offer a flat rate for your private guide, meaning it will be the same price for your one-social-bubble group of 1-8 people. A great value!

Inclusions: Private guide fee

Exclusions: Please bring your own reusable bottle for refilling., Entrance fees ($15-35 USDpp, payable directly at trails), Transportation not included - please use your own vehicle or a taxi

We took a half day tour with our guide Marcos of the main Monteverde park. We appreciated the flexibility in choosing which park we wanted to visit. Marcos was an excellent guide (great English): he was knowledgeable about a variety of topics, ranging from Costa Rican history, rainforest fauna and local wildlife. As a bonus, we managed to spot the elusive Quetzal bird!

We learned a lot, had many laughs and got to try some amazing treats! They also picked us up and dropped us off at our hotel which was very convenient! I highly recommend! It’s the best food tour we’ve ever done!

Wow, honestly strop scrolling and just book with Jason or you will be disappointed. I took over 10 tours in all over Costa rica and he was by FAR our favorite of the whole trip. First getting a guide in Manuel Antonio National Park is necessary or your going to miss everything you came to costa rica for (do not try to save money and go without a guide). He points out more animals/ insects / etc in the first 10 minutes of the tour than you have probably seen in any other part of costa rica, all while being funny and super informative. He spotted everything, and literally 3 other guides 2 behind and 2 in front of us were asking for help to spot and he had to even set up the telescope for the other guide. He found a super rare poisonous snake that was impossible to see without his knowledge and the tour behind us even asked if they could look in our lens.. haha. Our whole family loved it. This was a real treat and made our last day in Costa rica so special

The scenery is amazing and this is a great stop-off between La Fortuna and Monteverde (which is how we did it). I would highly, highly recommend doing that. What I would not do is get a guide. Our guide was fine, and had a few interesting tidbits, but this price did not even include admission (which was a rude surprise when we got there - that should really be clearer in the description), making the total cost pretty expensive for what could have easily been a self-guided tour. (Note: the one exception is if it will be a busy day and you can’t get there early as they do limit the number of people who can enter the park at a time and we were told that the guides are given preference. On a weekday in late March, there was no issue with that).

Best Witches Rock surf tour and coaching!! My boyfriend Michael and I have used GoSouth on numerous occasions from surfing to all day boating adventures with the family. With every tour and adventure they have succeeded our expectations!! Not only does Walter take you to Witches (best place to surf), but he is one of the best surfing coaches that I have had in the water with me. He made me feel so comfortable and gave me useful tips that have improved my surfing. He also was helpful with advance surf coaching for my boyfriend that has surfed for 15+years. Not only is he good with adults, but our daughters both loved his beginner lesson at Iguanitas. I can not recommend this company enough including their boat tours with the family.... where we went to secluded beaches, donut rides behind the boat, snorkeling, the best homemade guac, catching fish, and Walter has an eye for spotting all the sea life, which made the whole trip for the kids! We saw all three types of dolphins, manta rays, beautiful fish and so much more! It wouldn’t be a trip to Costa Rica without using GoSouth and that’s why we continue to use them each time we return to Papagayo. Please support this local family owned company... you won’t be disappointed!
