Prachuap Khiri Khan (Thai: ประจวบคีรีขันธ์, pronounced [prā.t͡ɕùa̯p.kʰīː.rīː.kʰǎn]) is one of the western provinces (changwat) of Thailand. It is in the northern part of the Malay Peninsula, some 240 km (150 mi) south of Bangkok. Neighboring provinces are Phetchaburi to the north and Chumphon to the south. To the west it borders Tanintharyi Region of Myanmar.

Amazing Loy Krathong Festival on November 22, 2018 at Khao Tao Lake, 15 km south of Hua Hin town center. There was a huge crowd of local Thai people but also many foreign visitors. I did enjoy a beautiful evening with my wife and friends, there was plenty of food, music, wonderful Krathongs and a fantastic decoration on Khao Tao Lake, indeed a perfect location to celebrate this traditional festival.

Loved it. Was great to see so many monkeys. They were adorable. It's been the highlight of our trip to Thailand for the kids, so much so they want to go back. It's free and is a great drive through a fishing village to get there. There is a Buddhist temple there also. You can pay 100 baht for some one to feed the monkeys for you. The views are great over Hua Hin. A must do if you love monkeys.

This cave is seemingly nearly abandoned although there was a person who turned on the lights for us at the request of our concierge prior to leaving the hotel for the visit. (HIGHLY RECOMMEND HAVING SOMEONE CALL FIRST) There are religious shrines inside this cave and they also have backlit the beautiful stalagtites and stalagmites as well as other beautiful rock features. It is such a unique experience. We could not stop saying, “wow!!” Outside, there is a giant gold statue on top of the building and AS BIG as the building! There were leaves all over and the parking lot was run down. We had an all day driver with us, and I would not recommend ubering or taxiing here. You will not be able to find a ride home. Well worth your while! A nice glass of wine at the nearby vineyard is a nice way to finish up!
