either for a group lunch or that 4am craving cheap and cheerful. Just a note on drinks, keep it simple, they seem to have found the extra money maker by charging more than anything not classified as bottom shelf.

Maybe it's because it's not in the old-town area? We ate in the front / outdoor section, the setting was fabulous. The service was outstanding, taking care of our drinks constantly, serving course after glorious course. My kids got classic margherita pizza, it was great. The homemade pasta was delish! Tomatoes and basil was fresh, I could have eaten for hours... we did! The shrimp the steak, the meat and cheese antipasti, just everything was top notch! All this came to about 150 euro... can I live here?! Great dining experience.

We enjoyed a tasty lunch here, the view is quite something, perched just above the aqua waters of pretty Otranto. We had a range of drinks, salads and sandwiches. All were served quickly and all were very tasty. It is beautifully decorated in clean, crisp white, the view is the star here and the food matches it in quality. The service was friendly and attentive.

This is a great, simple restaurant with a good menu and very reasonable prices. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was served quickly. We shared beef carpaccio, melanzani parmigiana and potato croquettes for starters, all of which were excellent and for mains we both chose fillet steak with roast potatoes and grilled vegetables; the steaks were only 13 Euro each, the potatoes were Euro 3 and the vegetables were Euro 4 so it was a very reasonable meal. We would happily eat here again, it is not fancy but it is really good.

You could easily miss this place as it's behind the castle on the road towards the port. It's not in an obvious tourist area but the food is excellent as is the service. I had a pizza that was really fresh and tasty whilst my wife had pasta that melted in your mouth. Excellent value for money. This was an Agriturusmo on an industrial scale: heaving with locals in sequins and wedgy high-heels. ALL of whom seemed to be embraced by the staff. Plus many visitors, mostly holidaying Italians from Naples and the odd neglected and cross Brit from Chiswick. Quite slow service as it was so busy and many of the parties so huge - we could understand that. But this had the least good antipasti of anywhere we tried: a platter altogether of about six different things, quite nice but a bit pickled and ordinary compared to some other places. The pastas were fine but forgettable (OH rated my ravioli higher than I did) and the dolce wholly delicious but took an hour to arrive. The whole operation felt a touch over-rated and over-stretched. But still quite a fun evening and not expensive.

very welcoming English speaking personnel invited me to the expensive looking restaurant very near the sea, what turned to be quite middle range priced. White table cloths, tables that do not swing as soon as you touch them. They were forthcoming enough to cook a seafood risotto just for me alone, although menu said that min order is for two persons. It was delicious. Home wine was sweet, bit sparkly and also had that light crust, that makes you want to drink more of it. Overall very pleasant and enjoyable evening spend in Horus.

We sat at one of the outdoor tables for a puccia and beer. We took one one classic and one multigrain, we chose Diavoletto and Deliziosa. Both were very good. I does have a drawback you should realy reserve your table since they're full all the time. Anyway great restorant offers wonderful local food from locals. Cheeses,homemade pasta and of course different kind of meat. Well trained personal speak all sorts of launguages - i was realy pleased that we ate there. It's almost a must if you stay in otranto.
