Nice place full of locals - good, quick, service, great food and very reasonable too. Lots of space to park and only about 5 mins off the motorway, but tucked in behind a housing complex (but easy enough to find) - I'll certainly be going back as I drive West to East across Italy a few times a year and have been on the look out for a good place to stop top eat.

La pizza é veramente buona, i prodotti si sente che sono di buona qualità e L'imposto é digeribile. Eravamo in 6 e abbiamo preso 3 pizze alla pala in sei gusti diversi. Buonissima quella con patate e salsiccia,quella grana bresaola e rucola.... che dire buone tutte, ci torneremo spesso per prendere le pizze e lo consiglieremo!

I ate here last night. It's pretty much pizza and antipasto but you really get a lot of good food for your money. I loved the pizza. The bruschetta was divinely good but huge. I managed half of my pizza and was so full. All for around 13.5⬠including coffee. This place would be awesome for groups wanting to share heaps of really nice tasty food. I'm telling my friends about this.

For us, being the only non Italians in the room at both lunch and dinner was a treat. We started with a little "light" lunch only to find even the bruschetta would have been enough for one to eat. The bruschetta was so tomato fresh and lightly herb seasoned that it may have been one of the best I've had. The calzone was HUGE (wish I had a place to take a to go box), with nicely melting cheese, very fresh bread crust and just melt in your mouth. (I ate it all!).By dinner we had meet Emmanuel, the grandson who speaks English and he recommended Nonna's (grandma's) gnocchi, which he had helped to roll out that day. I was pleased when it was not a huge portion, but just right and just nicely sauced (olive oil and herbs I think, no tomato sauce).The service, everything we ate and the family atmosphere here was awesome!

We were visiting relatives in the L'Aquila area and wanted to take them to dinner. They suggested La Cascina per un Soqno. (In effect, a farmstead in a dream). Farmstead by name, but very urban in style. The establishment is just off a rural road a few miles south and west of L'Aquila. It includes not only a very modern and welcoming main restaurant, but also open grounds for events like wedding parties, and a separate private event building and some overnight accommodations. It is in a peaceful valley surrounded by the beautiful mountains of the Abruzzo. And the food is, simply, wonderful. We visited on a Sunday afternoon and found that many others had chosen to dine there was well. The Antepasti were local and tasty, the primi courses, a risotto and gnocchi were delicious. The secondi, both fish and meat were done perfectly. We were so stuffed that we passed on the sweets, which looked to be very good. Service was professional, courteous, efficient but not intrusive.The term "farmstead" might suggest some "agro-tourismo" establishment with rustic features--not so. Just fine cuisine in a lovely setting.
