A surprise in Montevarchi where we stayed for one night.La Buca di Ipo offers delicious seafood (e.g. gran piatto crudo), pasta, pizza⦠Typical Italian food with very small prices. And the service is nice and excellent.Itâs better to eat outside (in the street but very few cars are passing).If you are staying in the Chianti, donât hesitate to visit La Buca di Ipo.Thank you very much

We visited 3 times with family and friends in May of 2016. SO friendly and accommodating as we had a 3 year old and 15 month old and a large groupFood is excellent and the Bisotecca is fabulous. we tried Giusti across the street and it is a 2 and PiazzaMagno is a 10!!..very reasonable prices, clean and friendly.cannot say enough about the food and the people who own it.Bellisimo!!

Sono stato al Vin de' Nuvoli molte volte per lavoro. Oltre ad essere un ottimo ristorante alla mano gestito egregiamente dai "ragazzi" del Valdarno, funziona anche da bar e da alimentari per la piccola comunità della Trappola. E' un posto dove ritrovare un'atmosfera amicale e distesa, approfittando della semplice e genuina cucina tipica toscana, magari accompagnata da un buon bicchiere di Chianti. Superba la vista dalla terrazza.

It is such a pity when lovely places like La Casa del Buono, are so poorly run and spoil a potentially good dinner.We came for dinner as a group of 9 during a week evening. The place was far from being full but nevertheless it took forever to catch the waitressâ attention to come and get our order and bring our drinks. The food came out of the kitchen so slowly that by the time we got the appetizers our drinks needed to be refilled and we were all ready to leave. Although the menu was creative and the food of good quality, the whole experience is one we would not want to repeat.

We had a five-star experience here, which I define as food quality exceeding expectations and something special in the service. The good-natured waitress had trouble explaining some dishes, and enlisted the enthusiastic help of a diner at a neighboring table. Our resulting seafood lunch was ample and delicious. Reasonable prices completed the nice time we had.

We were looking for a place with pizza for lunch. This was the only place open in the little town. The kind gentlemen took our order which we thought were appetizers. The plates were very large with delicious pasta! We would recommend this place to anyone visiting the area. If going for lunch go before 1:00 pm because they do close down for the afternoon hours. The whole town shuts down. Which is completely normal for all of Italy from our understanding. It's just odd to Americans.

Took a taxi here from our villa and enjoyed a nice meal outside under a veranda. The pizzas were delicious. The seafood pasta dish left something to be desired with little recognizable seafood compared to similar dishes at other restaurants. It's in an industrial park on the other side if the highway fro Terrenuova Brocciolini.

Recommended by our accommodation hosts, this restaurant-pizzeria has the best of both worlds. Good Tuscan cooking with seasonal truffles and meats, pasta, and a huge selection of pizzas. The mixed platter of vegetarian starters was excellent. And a lovely large terrace overlooking the river gorge made it a picturesque evening. Only one gripe: some inattentive service. We finished our starter in good time, but the waiters didn't come back to check on our progress, they apparently thought we were still eating the starters, and we were left waiting a long time before our mains. They were very apologetic and the mains then arrived within minutes. But it might be worth making it obvious when you've finished one course and are ready for the next. Otherwise, really good.
