Top 10 Outdoor Activities in Western Kyoto, Kinki

May 19, 2021 Roseanne Arnett

The shrines and temples of Kyoto offer a rare link between modern life in the city and its very ancient past. The Shimogamo Shrine dates to the 6th century and seems suspended in time, its serenity and spiritual power still palpable. Visit Fushimi Inari Shrine, then see the life-sized Thousand Armed Kannon statues of Sanjūsangen-dō. Enjoy traditional geisha performances, then savor a tranquil meal at a restaurant overlooking the Kamo River.

Yume Kyoto Arashiyama

I have seen many kimono rental shops while strolling in Kyoto, however upon entering this shop, I felt the difference. I liked the convenience of the location, to friendly service in English , and the vast selection of Kimonos at prices that were competitive . We have also signed up for having our photos taken by photographer Mao, and are very happy with the service and results . They also do a very professional hair do for women at good prices.

まいゆーる maiyuur ~ cooking experience & body care

I have been a therapist for 18 years. I love learning about my mind and body. I like the philosophy of Zen, which is the foundation of the tea ceremony, and how to use the body of the Japanese “Michi”. My favorite word is the Zen word "Sato-no-Yori". It means that it is more difficult to do non-daily training in daily life, and it is useful only if it is used in daily life. Making miso and herb vinegar is a mountain line. I hope that you can make use of whatever you have learned while enjoying it in your daily life, so that you can spend the days when your mind and body are more joyful.
