The museums of Lisbon celebrate the rich history and culture of this Portuguese capital city. The Maritime Museum is perfect for kids (and grown-ups!) who adore all things nautical, while the Casa-Museu Dr. Anastácio Gonçalves is a hidden gem of colorful artwork. To fully appreciate the city’s dramatic stone architecture you can take a guided walking tour, or customize your own tour, making sure to visit the Padrao dos Descobrimentos, the Mosteiro dos Jeronimos, and the UNESCO World Heritage site the Torre de Belem.

The “Arca” is a beautiful replica of a traditional merchant vessel that sailed from Lisbon to northern Europe since the XIII to the XIX century, essentially carrying dried food, olive oil, coffee, salt and wine. The Arca sightseeing tours start at Cais do Sodre, sail down the river Tagus to Belem, and back to Praca do Comercio, before ending where they started at Cais do Sodre.

It was an excellent experience. The reservation and rental were very smooth. Everyone at scooteria was very helpful, provided lots of information and tips where to go. The scooter worked well and helped get around to places where it wouldn't have been easily possible or too time consuming by public transport. I highly recommend renting a scooter to explore the vicinity of Lisbon to anyone. I'll be back for sure and rent again here.
