Historically part of Northamptonshire, it is 75 miles (121 km) north of London, on the River Nene which flows into the North Sea 30 miles (48 km) to the north-east. The railway station is an important stop on the East Coast Main Line between London and Edinburgh.

As yesterday was the first day of re-opening for The Rose and Crown, we decided to nip down and try their new food menu. We were not disappointed!! We ordered a naan wrap with chicken tikka, and it was huge and delicious!! My 3 year old cleared a portion of scampi and managed to eat more of her Grandma’s! As well as that we ordered some onion rings and mushy peas. The food was incredible. The staff were polite, friendly and had full control of everything! One of the owners also came out and had a chat with everyone to thank them - which was a lovely touch. So pleased to have this beautiful pub as our local ❤️

Thought we would pop down to our local today for a meal with the parents. Lovely attentive staff and a fab menu. Luckily it was steak night so that was mine and the wife’s sorted whilst the parents ordered off the main menu. Generous sized portions and quality food. We will be returning

The bar is a bit left field for these parts. Beers are lined up way back behind the bar and there's 23 of the things. So picking one means a conversation with the bar staff. They know their stuff, so you're in good hands. Cocktail menu has the classics and some unique offerings too. There's a fridge with cans/bottles (plus a takeout option on the draught beers) so you can carry on after leaving.

Peterborough's First Micropub, opened in 2016 specialising in great cask ales from carefully selected local and national breweries. We also serve Cornish lager, craft beer and a small selection of wines & spirits as well as soft drinks alongside Tea & Coffee. Our fridge is chock full of exciting craft beers from all around the world. We have a quirky range of bar snacks including our home made pork pies. The Bumble Inn was awarded a Gold award in 2017 from the Peterborough CAMRA branch and went on to win the branch Pub of the Year in 2018.

A great little micro pub only a stone's throw from the city centre. Five real ales on offer, plus two real ciders. A genial host, who made the experience very enjoyable.
