Terrific beach that’s part of the Cape Cod National Seashore. The beach is absolutely stunning, but be prepared to climb down and up the sandy slope, but so worth it. The Beachcomber Restaurant is terrific and offers take out or eat in choices. Parking is limited ($30) , so get there early, although parking opens at 9am. The beach closes to swimming if sharks are seen in the water. We had to stay out of the water for about 90 minutes while there due to shark sitings off the coast. Overall one of the finer beach’s on Cape Cod

Indian Neck was a summer home for over 21 years, adulthood, making a living, robbed me of a longer stay. In the early mornings I would burst out of the cottage, run to the farest out sandbar, turn and admire the cottages that dotted the beach here and there. I remember being in all the cottages along the beach, the summer "complaints" were the greatest people, so open and fun loving, they made a child feel like the world was a haven for laughter and feeling good. Indian Neck Beach, the part I was from didn't have those high cliff dunes, it had relatively smaller dunes, mostly fitted with stairs to climb up from the beach. My friends stairs had a history of washing away, until after a few seasons of rebuilding them, they bought aluminun light weight steps that lasted for years. The stairs were placed on the flat land beside the house in the winter. The memories of the surf, sand, tides, water, and friends live on in my mind, where they will always be. I loved the place and still do. I haven't been there in ten years, I miss it.

This preserve is a great place to commune with nature and watch the sunset.
We really enjoyed the flat hiking trails here. The views are great and well worth the entry fee which supports the Mass Audubon Society

Have gone to Marconi Beach a dozen times this summer. Easy to get to, lots of parking, clean changing rooms, clean open bathrooms, easy paths to the beach. Stairs involved to get don to the beach though. Lots of clean sand, and lifeguards.

We did this hike a few years ago without our kids. On that visit, it was high tide and the beach appeared very rocky below the high tide line and while we liked walking on the empty windswept beach, the water was certainly not inviting. This year, we went with a larger group, 7 adults ages 21 to 55 and 3 kids ages 10-15. We were not intending to hike more than a couple of miles; we just wanted to see some different landscape and see the empty beach, not always easy to find on Cape Cod. Arriving at the beach near low tide on a beautiful sunny day, we were pleasantly surprised to see clear water and sandy bottom out past the rocky strip below the high tide line. We ended up wading, swimming, and just hanging out for over an hour. We wished we had brought more drinks, snacks, and towels but we made do with what we had. There were diagonal sandbars leading out over a hundred yards into the beautiful clear water of the bay. We saw another large group that had brought all of their beach gear including chairs, umbrellas, and coolers. It’s probably 1/2 mike from the parking area to the beach but the trail is more dirt than sand so easily travelled with a wagon, wheeled cooler, or bike. We saw folks headed down the beach for the long hike to Jeremy Point but we were very content to do just the short hike (<1 mile) to the south end of The Gut (the narrow strip of dunes and beach) and our secret beach!

beautiful calm lake with crystal clear waters. Sit amongst the pine trees an a tiny sandy area if you kind find a spot and skin in the lake. A lovely morning out for our family.

Mayo beach is a wonderful place to host the 4th of July Wellfleet 43rd annual 5 mile road race. The venue is right on Wellfleet harbor with plenty of free parking, restaurants, theater, beach and the pier within easy walking distance. The view is expansive and is perfect for families and couples.
