Mount Lagazuoi is located halfway between Cortina d'Ampezzo and Alta Badia. Departing from the Falzarego Pass, the top of Mount Lagazuoi can be reached in 3 minutes with a modern cable car. In summer Mount Lagazuoi offers scenic hiking and rock climbing areas and an extensive Open Air Museum with itineraries through trenches and tunnels from World War I. In winter it boasts spectacular ski runs such as the Armentarola piste, considered one of the most spectacular slopes in the Alps. Being part of Dolomiti Superski ski carousel, Mount Lagazuoi is connected to the slopes of the adjacent ski areas. Lagazuoi EXPO Dolomiti is a brand new location for exhibitions and meetings next to the top station of the cable car and has been designed to highlight every form of art and culture. The Lagazuoi Refuge is the highest and the largest mountain hut in Cortina d'Ampezzo and boasts the most panoramic terrace in the Dolomites and a Finnish outdoor sauna.

We just visited, using the mountain gondola for access. The views from the top are glorious in all directions. Everyone knows this, so the earlier you go the better -- it can get really crowded up here, so you have to adapt. The refuge has a spacious terrace and you can get good quality standard fare. More importantly from my point of view (since hot coffee and chocolate and snacks are all pretty much standard) you can walk along a 'Peace Path' that is easy and lovely, to the nearby Laguzuoi summit. It is a striking and fitting memorial to all those who fought and died along this World War 1 frontier. About 500 meters of easy walking in total. If you get there early and there is not a massive line at the bottom and crowds at the top, this is a must-do in this region in my opinion, and I know the Dolomites fairly well.

Emblematic of the Dolomites and absolutely spectacular. The tour around the Tre Cime took us about 4hours of easy hike (although fully in the snow, and quite slippery) from and to the parking lot. Should be more like 3 hrs in summer. Incredible photo opportunities along the way. Yes parking access is expensive but so is maintaining infrastructures at this altitude. Must do.

Drive up the mountain pass and take a chair lift which brings you directly on top of this plateau and enjoy that beautiful panorama view which differs completely in every direction! The WWI open air museum right underneath the Cinque Torri spikes is an absolute must-do and will take you about an hour. Don't forget to have a drink on the mountain shelter's terrace and enjoy the view!

We have been in Venice a bunch of times. But still amazes us the same as the first time. It's just a lovely place to be. Countless sights, great food and no (car) traffic. The Canale Grande is one of the most famous sights in the city. And rightly so. You could rent a private water taxi, take a tour boat or just hop on one of the water buses. For us the water bus was fine. Drive along the whole canale or hop and off (buy a day-ticket). You will pass endless interesting sights. Starting from the train station (Ferrovia) the Ponte degli Scalzi, the Chiesa di San Simeon Piccolo, the Chiesa di San Geremia, Rialto Mercato and Rialto Bridge, the Ponte dell’Accademia, the Basilica di Santa Maria della Salute, the Punta della Dogana and at the other end the Piazza San Marco with the Palazzo Ducale and the Basilica di San Marco. And that's just the very big sights along the way. Of course you also can walk through Venice (we love it) and you will pass the Canale lots of times. It's also fun just to wander around without plan and getting lost in the beautiful backstreets of Venice. This time we were lucky to rent an apartement for a few day directly on the Canale Grande. With views of the canal from every room. Be it in the morning during breakfast or in the evenings when the lights on the canal seemed magical: We never got and never will get bored of that sight. Light or dark, day or night, sunny or rainy. The Canale Grande is a sight to behold. Love it - and we love this town.

What a beautiful place to stay for a late breakaway everything is so idyllic and laid back my wife and I enjoyed every minute so many places to eat you are spoiled for choice the place is absolutely clean and tidy,shopping centre is well worth a visit.

Giardino Giusti is a stunning 16th century Italian Renaissance garden part of the Manneristic palace of the “Giusti” family and designed by Agostino Giusti, Knight of the Republic of Venice and prominent figure of the Grand Duchy of Tuscany, in 1570 over a previously existing 14th century garden. Featuring a splendid park of terraces climbing upon the hill and overlooking the historical center of Verona, the garden is located 7 min walking far from the wonderful 1st century BC Roman Theater in the “Isolo” quartier of Verona, so named as it was an island whose external river branch (“canale dell’Acqua Morta”) has been buried after the 1882 flood. This idyllic and bucolic oasis of peace presents all the inspirational features of the renowned “Boboli Gardens”, Medici’s gardens at Palazzo Pitti in Florence, and is open every day from 9.00 a.m. to 7.00 p.m. (adults €10,00; 0-10 years old and disabled people free entry, students €5,00; Reduced price for Verona Card holders). My family visited in May on a glorious sunny day. The park is well maintained and so much to see and areas for picnics if desired. My kids enjoyed the many ponds full of fish, the maze was fun and there are farm animals and very friendly, quiet deer. The garden beds are packed full of plants and are beautiful. If you love a good nature walk in gorgeous surroundings and have reasonable fitness then don't hire a golf cart, with plenty of time, 2 hours min you can leisurely walk the park with ease and enjoy. I am glad we visited out of season as I dread to think of all the available golf carts whizzing about in high season as you do have to step aside on paths to let them past. However please visit you won't be disappointed.

Don't forget to visit the ancient mill of the 17th century and Molina, the characteristic hamlet of stone where you can buy typical local products.

Made the Red circular with a nine years old and 3.5 years old girls, they really enjoyed it. It’s not an easy trail: be prepared to walk down from the parking about. 15 min, than you enter and you start by descending a lot. But the view worth it, most of it is in shedding area, and the waterfalls makes it cooler. Two main attractions: one is the swing in waterfall n. 17 in the map and one with omega with was inoperable (June 4). One of the best trails we had with kids. Definitely worthy for half day trip if you are in east Garda lake or near Verona.

The Alberto Avesani Farm was founded back in 1933 and covers 64 hectares of hills inland of Lake Garda, in Bussolengo, Verona province.A zoological park of about 24 hectares called Garda Zoo Park was conceived in 1965. Opened on June 25 1969, it hosted both indigenous and exotic animals.In 1973 a new area dedicated to African mammals and birds, the Safari Park, was added, which visitors could access in their own car.In 1978 the whole facility was expanded with the addition of new areas: the Aquaterrarium, the Tropical Greenhouse, and the Dinosaur Park, where visitors had the chance to admire life-size models of prehistoric reptiles for the first time in Italy.In 1985 a comprehensive reorganization process was started on a zoological, architectural and managerial level.

We really enjoy this zoo with my 3 year old so we become members. We normally cover half to 2/3rds of the zoo before she is exhausted. The dinosaur area is a favorite of her’s along with the hippo and rino exhibit. It’s a hilly walk with a great playground in the middle. We usually stop for a snack and drink at on of the many cafe areas. When we are done we get in the car and drive thru the safari park and she looks for the animals while following the map. The giraffe and lions are her favorites on this side. Clean, beautiful zoo that is worth the visit.
