World of Wings Birds of Prey Centre

We are Scotland's largest birds of prey centre. There are over 70 birds to see and fantastic flying displays every day. Our birds include eagles, falcons, owls, hawks, vultures and parrots. We are open from 10am till 5pm and the displays are at 12 noon and 3pm daily. The centre is open 7 days a week all year round. We do experiences where you can handle and fly the birds (booking required). Come and sample our home cooking at The Cabin Cafe.

Went along purely on a whim this afternoon and was very impressed indeed. I had read about World of Wings on social media and planned to go along at some point. Today was that day. The flying display was excellent - the staff were really relaxed and informative, and we had the opportunity to see owls, hawks, eagles and even a stork in flight! Will definitely be back.

Discover Amazonia

Reviewed By LisaAnnsReviews - Okinawa City, Japan

We visited this afternoon with my 8 year son and he LOVED it. A wide variety of animals available to see (bats, snakes, coy carp, turtles, parrots, tamarin monkeys, ants, frogs, butterflies etc) and interesting talks held by their keepers. During the handling session my son got to hold a Royal Python, Russian Turtle and a Hissing Cockroach! A must do experience for all animal lovers! It's VERY hot inside so do NOT wear hot clothes such as wooly jumpers!

Palacerigg Country Park

Reviewed By KateAella - Cumbernauld, United Kingdom

Hi, I live in cumbernauld and I know people have been disappointed about the animals at Palacerigg being removed, but there's still lots to do up there! There's a small visitor centre and toilets, a play park, and most of all there's all the trails and paths around the area like the badger loop and the circuit around the golf course that takes yu to fannyside Loch (which is great for a picnic in the summer). The only path that's currently shut is one from the edge of the golf course down to glencryan resovoir because a mine shaft has caved in, however you can still get to the resovoir and see the spooky old mind opening by taking a slightly longer route towards the model flying club, then turning right down the hill, then taking the first right again. There's so much wildlife up there and although some paths are full of puddles, most are suitable for smaller kids just not all of them suit a buggy/ pram
