The Storno house is located in the main square of Sopron. It has two floors with many rooms where you can see a lot of artefacts that Ferenc Storno, the chimney-sweeper had collected during his life. Definitely worth visiting!

Sopron Museum - Old Synagogue

Seasonal opening - please check website

Reviewed By AlanEatZ - Arlington, United States

The Old Synagogue is an interesting place to visit. The synagogue was built in the 12th century during the Roman period. The Jewish community was forced out of the city in the 1500s. And, the synagogue was not rediscovered until 1967. There is not a lot of material or artifacts in the synagogue. There is a 6 page history that is interesting to read. If you visit, talk to the woman that curates the museum. She spoke to us for an hour telling us the story and explaining everything. She was amazing!
