Top 10 Multi-day Tours in Braga, Northern Portugal

May 1, 2022 Natalie Tallman

Sometimes called the “Portuguese Rome” for its many churches, Braga is an ancient town in northwest Portugal. Its history and livelihood are tied to Christianity dating to the 3rd century. The city’s 12th-century Sé (Cathedral) is still one of the most popular attractions. Just outside of town lies the renowned Bom Jesus de Monte pilgrimage sanctuary, with its striking Baroque stairway. After dark, the stoic town turns upside down, with a rich nightlife thanks to its many university students.

Hello, My wife & I were a part of this small group tour with another Brazilian family. Our guide was Micael Neto.He was very friendly & very approachable from the start of the tour.He drives well & is able to communicate his point in English. We personally preferred the Aveiro part to Coimbra. The Costa Nova beach & the light house were fantastic. The Moliserro cruise is an experience one should have.We had lunch & Avos Moles at the Market Square at Cafe Pixinho. The Coimbra tour was mainly a university, cathedral & the market square. Speaking personally about Micael a few incidents which stood out for me, a)He found a restaurant in Aveiro which serves vegeterian food for us. b)In Coimbra when the others were busy in the university he took us to the Botanical Garden & Cathedral. c)He helped us plan the rest of our trip in Porto & Lisbon with his suggestions. d)He even recommended places to have vegeterian food near our hotel. e)He ensured that each members personal interests were taken care off during the tour.He made it a point to understand our likes & dislikes.Eg.He made it a point to show me the storks nests & the Dragao stadium. The tour was well organised as any other but Micael was very good & would highly reccomend travelling with Micael to anybody in the future. Cheers, Dr.Vidhi & Harshit

Premiere Tours is by far the best guiding agency we ever hired, and Jorge Bras is the most knowledgeable guide, a true gentleman, always looking out for our wellbeing. Fatima and Sintra are truly two of the most wonderful places in the planet. The spirituality of Fatima and the mysticism of Sintra with its magical fairytale palaces, made the top on our favorite places in the world list. Even though we were in Portugal for only three days on a business trip, during the pandemic, we decided to contact Premiere Tours for ideas on a one day tour, and we are so pleased that we were advised to take this one. Very poor, waited 2 hours for a bus this morning none arrived. So fed up with the service by this evening we took a taxi back to the hotel. You could buy a ticket with this company or instead take 30 euros from your wallet and set fire to it - the latter is less stressful

We enjoyed our canyoning tour today very much! Finding the center and parking was very easy. Our tour started on time with a safety check and trying on the equipment. We then headed to the canyon with two guides just for us two. After another safety check we enjoyed nice views, zip-lines, abseiling, small slides and jumps. We really enjoyed the zip-lines. There were a few nice jumps, too, which were fun, but not too dificult. Let's say up to 6m or so. We had a nice chat with our guides in a small café with lots of recommendations for this area of Portugal. The Burger and sandwich were ok, but very cheap with drinks. I'm curious how the other canyons or bike tours are with this crew. They seem to be experts and very nice. Come to visit!
