I attended a screening at Light House Cinema in Smithfield today with friends and it was a superb experience. Plush comfortable seats in a pleasantly sized cinema... and the film was excellent!

Stella Cinema

Get set for a truly unique cinema experience in the beautifully restored Stella Theatre, an iconic cinematic landmark which sits in heart of Dublin 6. The cinema itself has been sympathetically restored to reflect the glamour and glitz of the 1920’s for an entire new generation of movie-goers.

Great spot to treat yourself, we watched the lion king and the venue really made the evening special. A little more expensive than a standard cinema but not a standard cinema experience! Would recommend arm chairs ( come with a blanket and poof ) the sofas and beds look less appealing. Good food and drink too

Myself and my wife go to the movies here at least once a month, there’s always great deals online and with restaurants in the square. The staff are always very helpful and friendly. We’ve gotten to know most of them by now and they all seem to love their jobs (great for advice on movies too!) It can be busy at the weekend, but we usually go midweek when it’s quieter. There’s also a great kids club that I bring my 4 year old to, every Saturday and Sunday morning, tickets are only a few euro and they do kids size portions of drinks and popcorns etc.

I got annual unlimited membership for Cineworld so I'm a frequent visitor here. Over the past year I have never had a bad experience, staff are friendly, cinema is warm and clean, seats are comfy and they have the only 4dx screen in Ireland. Unlimited membership costs €22.40 per month on a 12 month contract, I recently received an email.from them about renewing my membership and that I have saved over £1,100 sterling over the previous 11months, so it's great value. Standard price for a movie is €12.60, it's about €16 for 3D and about €19 for 4dx. With membership you also get 10% discount on all purchases inside and this includes the bar, the discount increases to 25% from year 2 of membership.
