Plaza Malvinas

This inscribed monument is a touching reminder of the Falkland Islands War (La Guerra de Las Malvinas) of 1982.

Reviewed By FernandoO910 - San Diego, United States

The Plaza is a war memorial to the soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice in the battle for the Malvinas with the UK. In the center of the plaza is a wall with the names of the fallen in front of the wall is a eternal flame. All around the Plaza you can see pictures of the conflict. Ushuaia was the parting point to the Malvinas and is still to this day considered the Capital of the region that includes the Malvinas.

Lovely architecture and great views of the lake. In the evening locals all come and hang out to watch the sunset.
