Friendliest service we got in this region of Italy, outstanding pizza ("carnivore"), super tasty pasta alla Nostrana... And a sharing platter for starters which was out of this world. The choice of drinks is also great. Only regret is being too full to try their desserts. Definitely check it out!!

Entrees were huge! many different stuffs.I could not eat more than a couple of pieces of pizza after!But I had to try the pizza with Nutella and another kind of sweeties (both very good)

Great service, great food, good atmosphere. The town does not offer much, but it deserves a visit just to have lunch/dinner in this place. I recommend the testing menù: it takes you on a journey of taste for a very decent price. All courses were very good, but the red tuna appetizer was something special. Also, I warmly recommend the bergamotto's sorbet, also a great experience. The excellent food is well complemented by a very polite and professional service, though the timing was probably a bit too relaxed... but if you are not in a hurry, then you can fully enjoy a great culinary experience!thank you so much

Located in the old town center of Rende, this quaint Calabrian restaurant is creatively decorated and does not disappoint. The wonderful, friendly and approachable staff explain every dish to the finest detail. After conversing with staff, we were pleased to hear that all dishes are made with only local products found in the area and bought daily. Dishes vary according to the season. Hostaria de Mendoza is located in Rende picturesque old town.Thr atmosphere is familiar, in all aspects, since the restaurant is managed by a nice lady and his son.The menu is typically local, especially for "country" cuisine: mushrooms, capocollo, caciocavallo cheese and, best of all, black truffle of Calabria. Taste the black truffle in Tagliatelle all'Occhio, together with egg and cream: superb !Wine list is very good, especially for local strong reds.

Locale ampio ed impersonale, servizio rapido e professionale. la pizza è molto apprezzata dai clienti ma noi abbiamo optato per un menu a base di porcini, freschi e ben cucinati, abbiamo assaggiato diversi piatti ed abbiamo potuto apprezzare la freschezza dei funghi. Consenza is probably not on your list of Italian cities to visit, but if you are nearby, possibly traveling from Sicily to the amalfi coast, this restaurant is worth a detour. Excellent food, impeccable service and very reasonable prices. The food, wine, and olive oil are all local and incredible quality. Enjoy.
