Went as a group of 4 couples. We had a variety of starters and mains, fish, steak, chicken dishes and vegetarian and everyone enjoyed their meals. Gin drinkers will be pleased with their gin menu. The restaurant is situated near the marina in Hull and there is plenty of parking outside their front door-its a 2 hour max zone up to 6.30pm, no restrictions after that). The bill averaged £40 per person which wasn't 't bad considering we all had 2-3 drinks along with the food. The food was fairly nice and tasty and we chose from the buffet menu.You choose 3 dishes to start and once you have eaten these, you can order 2 more, then 1 more etc.BUT...once you have eaten the first 3, you're too full to eat anything else! The dishes are bulked up with way too much potato and you cant re-order until you have eaten it all.Doubt we will return.Dear Laura, Thank you for your feedback. We are glad to hear that you have enjoyed our first round of tapas.As you might have seen there are 29 tapas on our £15.95 AYCE menu out of which only 6 dishes have/come with potatoes so there are 23 dishes which you most likely have missed out on.Also our Mega saver menu with £12.95 offers you with 20 dishes to choose from. Only 5 dishes with potatoes and 15 to choose from if you don't want to get full too quick.So it seems to us as though you couldn't resist the deliciously mouth watering patatas con queso brava(potatoes with melted cheese and spicy tomato sauce) or patatas con alioli(potatoes with home made garlic mayonnaise). And you ate it all and could not order more but then blame to the fact that you aren't allowed to order more.It is a all you can eat and not as much as u can order and then most of which ends up in the bin, we do not encourage food waste.Every dish has detailed description on it to say what it comes with or what ingredients we put in. So it was entirely up to you if you wanted to start with light tapas such as brochetas de pollo and then give potatoes a try. Rather then getting full in the first round and not being able to order more, then pouring your frustration on here and miss guiding the readers.However, we do hope to see you soon as it wont be fair to not return just because you was full of the first three tapas and could not order more.RegardsMANAGER

Made a late decision to go out for dinner. Been coming to Da Gianni since it opened and not been for a while. However, seems weâve been missing out. The seafood medley special and my wifeâs sea bass were amazing, cooked to perfection and served with tasty extras. The staff had bags of personality and genuinely seemed to be having a good time too. As an added bonus the bill was also extremely reasonable. So glad we didnât stay in. Weâll definitely return again soon.

I ordered the prosciutto panini and some fancy cheese for a little lunch treat out for my partners birthday. When I arrive back from the toilet my food was present, the panini I ordered was the prosciutto and some cheese I carnt remember the name of. The lunch I was given was not the prosciutto panini I ordered, I was served standard packet ham, sliced tomatoes and mozzarella which was not listed on the menu served with chips that were deep fried and greecy tasting, side salad was douced in oil. Due to being served food that was not what I originally ordered I would not return as an paying customer.

Very little atmosphere, in part due to the very bright lighting, the staff were friendly, but service was slow, surprising for a 7.00 booking. The food was far from authentic anything much, the kebab meat was like grizzled oily pellets, and the salad definitely past its best. A friend commented on portion sizes always being a bit mean during freshers week, she was right. I might try it again maybe, but I get the feeling the Hully Gullys are very easily pleased, or will eat anything dumped in front of them.

I had received some vouchers for my birthday in May and was the fist time we could do a weekend so a phonecall for an early sitting we looked and chose from the menu.garlic mushrooms and pate lovely. Tagliatelle and lasagne with the tomato garlic bread with pesto and potatoes went down well. No room for a sweet but very filling and well presented tasty food. Pitty as it is a fair way to go for us country bumpkins but we'll worth the trip

I absolutely love places like this - simple but 110% authentic with a real passion for what lies at the centre of any great culture - their food!!The owner was really welcoming and I just put myself in his hands - give me what you recommend!His answer.... you wonât be disappointed!And I wasnât!Had an amazing lamb stew (itâs his speciality apparently) along with some hummus and roasted aubergine - all absolutely delicious!Would definitely recommend this place - just really lovely, flavoursome food and great hospitality.Thank you! Iâll be back!

Visited a relative in this area and I noticed this new place had opened, after looking inside and seeing the menus I thought I'd ask a few questions to test the staff whilst making sure about hygiene and a few other things and all looked very good.So after chatting with the owner ( un be known to me at the time) he recommended 2 of his pizzas, price was very reasonable and I set off home hoping the wife would enjoy the food. After opening the boxes the amount of food for what I'd paid for would of fed at least 6 people, the variety of tastes was astounding and quite frankly the best take away I've ever visited. Try this place and I can't see how anyone could be disappointed with this outlet. Keep up the great customer service, the fantastic food and the very happy atmosphere.
