Small restaurant on the seafront serving very good food. We ate here several times. Although the food and wine is as good as Quattro A which is next door, it doesn't seem to get as busy. For this reason it probably lacks some atmosphere. I would just kindly like to mention to the owners that the chairs could be more comfortable.Dear Mr. SaleBazzer, i would like so much to have a restaurant on the seafront in Varazze. Unfortunately Taverna di Colombo is in the deepest, darkest alley of the historical centre of Genova, and moreover we are closed for holiday until next week. But you are right about a point: our chairs could be more comfortable. Perhaps your wrong review is a sign from God to us, to make a change. But, thank god i'm an atheist!Fausto Cavanna.

We saved this for our last night in the hope of something special.It got of to a good start but after we had ordered my wife was told that her fish was not available. In fact, a significant proportion of the fairly limited menu was not available.But it really came of the rails when a table for 14 was set up next to us.The party was very noisy, as would be expected but they also wanted the door open as they were hot. Some of the best food we have had in Italy, soft flavours and good presentation, no gimmicks or fireworks; the chef allows the freshness and preparation to speak for themselves. Good wines and service plus a pear and chocolate tart to die for!!

It's nice to see staff in a restaurant who care so much for their customers. I'd definitely reccomend booking this place (we did not, but managed to get in) as around 8:40 it went from somewhat quiet to packed. The waiters tell you the menu, showing pictures and describing meals (I must say at first I was not pleased about this, but i5 was actually a nice touch). We had wine reccomeneded (perfectly) and all in all had an excellent evening. Would definitely return and reccomend. ** as to the comment about steak being over done, mine was absolutely perfect.

The food served here are very fresh and the presentation of the food itself is amazing. We had ravioli, appetizer and dessert, all of them did not disappoint us. Definitely will come back again for this shop. Should give it a try and take the recommended food from waiter.

A disappointing evening at this restaurant. The service was somewhat âsnootyâ and the food was unremarkable. We live in London and have had far better tasting and value for money Italian dishes there. The liquor and truffle to finish was pretentious and unnecessary. Had far better meals in Genoa .

Not exactly the nicest location, but once inside that doesnât really matter. Menu is heavily seafood weighted, but struck me as the food the chef might cook for her own family. No fancy arty whoosh of sauce on an empty plate here. Just good honest food. Quite small so reserve or get in early ahead of the rush. Excellent value. A solid 4.5

I spent the last night of my holiday at Arcani. Met all the delightful staff - Rodriguez and Alessi-and sat in the most exquisite dining room. Intimate and cosy but not cramped. The choice of fish meals is very wide and I canât remember the names of the various delicious courses because I may have had a second glass of wonderful white Piemonte wine! The service was personal and attentive and even included a free antipasti! Thank you guys for a super ending to my holiday â¤ï¸Good evening! Thank you for the review! No wonder this is ranked 2 in Genoa among 1700 or so restaurants. It really is excellent. Friendly service throughout and they regularly check on the diners to make sure everything is ok. A nice postcard as s gift when leaving is a nice touch.The food... outstanding! Really is. Follow recommendations is a good start. The focaccia they serve is the best Iâve ever had. We got our 3 kids the ravioli and everyone loved it. The grilled octopus is amazing. We were too full for desert which is rare for our family! But I imagine it would also have been very good. Next time in Genoa Iâll be back.Be sure to reserve... we send them s message on their webpage and got a reply quickly.

Had great expectations given the positive reviews but nothing from food to service or ambiance really surprised me given the bill. May be just an unlucky night. Hello and thanks for the review.I'm really sorry that the expectations weren't met.We keep the prices under control but we are not a cheap restaurant and we are very careful about the success of the dinner.Unfortunately, when you eat raw fish and wine from important bottles, you can't have cheap prices.But I treasure your considerations and hope to see you again to make you think again.See you soon.
