We decided to try this restaurant after a number of recommendations but were disappointed. The food is mediocre, and the decor was like walking into a dusty museum. There are definitely better restaurants in the area. Will not be going again.

The Creek Bistro Chic

We really enjoyed the birthday dinner we had on Friday September 21, 2018, at The Creek to celebrate the birthday of my younger brother. The restaurant is really Chic as is the entire hotel (the Four Seasons) and the the atmosphere is really nice and up-end. The staff were incredibly nice, polite and accommodating. We were immediately seated to the tables of our choosing (we were a party of 8). You could choose to be seated at the balcony which has a stunning view or you could choose to stay inside, which we did. Menus and water came shortly after. The menu was "a la carte" but very affordable for a gastronomic kitchen. The food was really tasty and beautifully served, clearly with the finest ingredients (foie gras, wagyu beef, etc.). Towards the end, we gave the staff the signal and they brought the birthday cake. Basically you can choose whether to order a cake from them (in which case I think you need to call them 24h in advance) or bring your own cake with you. We opted for the latter only because our birthday boy is fond of cakes from a certain bakery in downtown Tunis, so we bought one from that bakery, brought with us and "smuggled it in" to the restaurant without the birthday boy's notice. The staff were helpful and discreet in this regard. They were also very kind to add the sparklers on top of the cake we brought, which was very cool. Overall it was a perfect experience from start to finish. Hats off to the Chef and to the team esp our waiter Mr Walid for the delicious food and wonderful and memorable experience. I will certainly come back next time I am in town.

Yabon is an institution in La Marsa, Tunisia. It serves only lunch and the place is usually packed. The meals are all based on grilled fish with different sides to chose from: tunisian red-sauce spaghetti, tastira or grilled pepper puree with egg, french fries, djerbian rice. The fish is seasoned with cumin and other fantastic spices. You may have to share your table, but it is all in great atmosphere and you're well attended. This place is mainly if not solely frequented by people who know about it and regular customers. It is great if you want a taste of simple and real Tunisian fish food for a fair price.

This is the most popular (and en vogue) restaurant in Tunis now. It serves a French-Italian-Tunisian cuisine. La Closerie's food is delicious, and it's excellent for people watching (particularly of the Tunisian jet-set).

Welcoming staff, great views and a citron sorbet that is simply refreshing. Ignore the ground level restaurants and climb the stairway, past images of past eminent diners, to simply relax. A menu that combines French and Tunisian cuisine for the enjoyment of food. Do take time to look at the photos of previous diners on the wall e.g. Sen. John McCain and Claudia Cardinale.

L'Arbre a Couscous

Imagined on the concept of a couscous bar : 5 varieties of semolinas couscous : white, whole wheat, spicy, red or ferficha couscous, vegetables à volonté. Choice between boulettes of fish, meat or chicken, and vegetarian balls. Also Lamb or Fish couscous.

I've had couscous in several restaurants in Tunis, which are all very nice, but what's special about this place is that the couscous is home made and well crafted, and of many varieties, you can get brown, white, and normal red couscous, not to mention the toppings, my favorite is Couscous Dorade "The gilt-head bream". The quantity is very generous and the taste is superb. TIP: don't forget to order their butter milk "L'ban".

The place was recommended by a friend. It’s a fine dining experience, I enjoyed the atmosphere and the location, the lighting was just right - romantic and calm - and the inside very nicely decorated. They have nice seafood dishes - especially the lobster with spaghetti is very yummy! However, they don’t speak much English although it’s a touristic place and the Menu it’s only in French. When asking for explanations of the dishes the waiter got very frustrated and couldn’t provide us any guidance and seemed very annoyed. Not nice Cocktails not so good, but the wine Yes. WiFi was provided, the younger staff was more accommodating than the older waiters who just seem to be easily annoyed by everything from customers. Customer service overall was ok, but can improve much more for such a fine restaurant. It’s recommended to book in advance as it was quite full even on a Tuesday evening.Parking was not provided. They have also a boutique inside the restaurant that is very nice, quite pricy though ...
